Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 33 Amurrkin out and clear (well, dark) with a predicted high of 63 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. Not too shabby. Today bein’ Moanday I shall defilthyfy da cave. Sup shall be beast stew and corn bread. The beast stew is already made as I froze some from the last batch so all I have to do is heat it up and make cornbread. Easy-Peasy!
MetalMouse in answer to your question, my new high and lofty appointment shouldn’t mean that I have to act any more adult than I do now for the most part. Part of a Junior Warden’s job is to deal with stuff that breaks down, needs service and in general takin’ care of the buildin’s and grounds at the church house. Most of that is scheduled maintenance and showin’ up to let folks in for that kind of stuff. Sounds like a ton o’ fun does it not!
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, onward into the day! Rah.

Good morning.
I have resigned and today is, for the most part, my last day. I did not mean to leave my coworkers and kids high and dry like this, but mentally it was a matter of self-preservation. I have a new job that I’ll be starting soon taking me back to my roots as an administrative/clerical type person. The following fact has confirmed to me that I’ve made the right decision: after having had weight loss surgery several years ago, at least once a day I’ve been having trouble with nausea when I eat for at least the last 6 months; since I resigned, I haven’t been sick once.

Morning all, a balmy 53F outside right now, but the bottom is going to fall out during the day and we’ll have rain and (gasp!) snow tonight.
Major activity for the week will be hauling my lawn mower to get it’s annual overhaul and I’ll also have them check the starter assembly, I had some problems with it at the end of the mowing season.
Sticky Buns, I know what a bad job can do to ones’ health (both mental and physical). Glad you’re in a better situation now.

I’m back, got busy there for a bit.
My cousin called, then irk got busy, then I called my cousin back, called friend #1 while making tacos for my son, put dinner in the oven for me, transferred some money, now helping my son gt his online stuff set up for classes.
In other words, you’re a janitor…er, Maintenance Engineer.
The other day I had a craving for a taco salad, so I went to the sto to procure some ground chickie, or turkey, or cow for said salad. The ground cow was ~$3/lb. The ground turkey and ground chickie were >$4/lb. :eek: But the ground pig was $1.79/lb. 
I bought some ground pig just on general principles. Up yours, Kroger!
I am without adult supervision again tonight. I think I’ll make spaghetti.

Howdy Y’all! Da cave is spiffed and sup has been supped. All is well. Gonna be rainy tomorrow and then cold for a couple of days followed by a warm up. all the nasty TWPTB is carryin’ on about should stay north of us. YAY! We shall eat upon soup and chili over the next few days as it is that kind of weather and I have both in da freezer.

It got up to the mid fifties this afternoon, but our forcast is rain this evening (it was sprinkling when I left irk), it freezing to the roadways and snowing on top of it. Irk decided to close at midnight tonight and not open until eight, if at all tomorrow. We’re supposed to check the irkplace weather hotline for updates before leaving in the a.m.
The [del]old bat[/del] aged cow-orker was back today and was ticked that the other coworker and I hadn’t done more of her project. :smack:Other than that, it wasn’t a bad day.

We went to Menard’s today looking for flooring for the first floor bathroom and came home empty handed. There’s no hurry, though. I’m still working on scraping the lovely wallpaper with quotes about fishing off of the walls. It will be awhile before I get to the floor.
Worked, came home. It’s my Firday.

I need to go over to the church house around nine to meet with the folks who installed the floorin’ in the Parish hall. This is laminate floorin’ and there’s some discoloration in one spot in particular. The former Junior Warden will be there as well as it was he who set up the appointment. Anywho we need to discuss this with the floorin’ folks to decide upon replacement as the floorin’ is guaranteed not to do that. Hopefully this will be over and done with and I’ll be back at da cave before the rain sets in. Laundry is also on the agenda. Sup will be chikin noodle soup (homemade right outta da freezer) and cheesey garlic bread.
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, bother of bothers, I must purtify and don appropriate bein’ about the public attire. Why must bein’ an adult be so hard!

It’s soggy and grey over 'ere (which I’m sure will come as a shock).
I’m thinking I should go clothes shopping; I don’t like doing it, but I’m running low on non-religious jeans (almost all the ones I have are holy). The ones I have are acceptable for a stoodint at skool, or a cleaning job, but I have an irk placement for three weeks starting Monday, and I don’t want to look like more of a slob than necessary there.
I especially dislike shopping for jeans lately- all that seems to be around is skinny fit, which only look in the least flattering if one has a skinny body to stick in 'em. That’s not a word that’s been used to describe me since I was around 8.
Swampy- how old’s the senior warden, if you’re the junior?

The local news is rife with impending snow - we might get a whole *1 or 2 INCHES!!! *:smack: Actually, the concern is for the Arctic blast that will follow. Melty streets could turn to ice rinks. It could be bad.
I had grandmother duty last night and I could not get Roxy to sleep. So when daughter and SIL came home from school, the rotten little poop machine was drooling as she sat on my lap, and she allowed her mom to tuck her in. Good thing the kid’s cute - I was ready to put her in Higgs’ crate! 
Much stuff on my desk. Busy day ahead.
