I got some errands done around town then headed toward Nashville. About halfway there, I remembered that I hadn’t put the kid bag in the back seat. :smack: I turned around to get it and took it where it belonged. While there, I was treated to a mini concert by my friend’s husband on the piano and twin eight year old daughters on the violin. I met my SIL, niece and friend for lunch at one of the local Chinese places, then shopped.
Supper was smelling good by the time I got home, so I chopped the greens and put them on to cook and whipped up a batch of cornbread. I’s tahred.
Mornin’ all.
Got a few days off in a row now, not that I’ve been technically that busy irking, just being in different places for different jobs and trying to squeeze general life tasks wound up being pretty tiring.
For the first time since moving here, someone (one of my former housemates, one of the less crazy ones) has taken me up on the offer to come stay tonight, with her boyfriend. Hence I’m suddenly remembering all the stuff I meant to get round to doing or getting, but I’ve put off cos it’s been OK with just me here.
Good Mornin’ Y;all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 74 Amurrkin out and N.O.S. with a predicted high of 92, mostly N.O.S. and a chance of a stray tstorm. Today we deheathenate follow by first Sunday brunch. This afternoon shall be devoted to chillage. My sinuses are kinda achy so I envision stayin’ in the cool of da cave.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Purtification for deheathenization must also commence.
Third bad night in a row - I had a terrible time falling asleep, and I kept waking. It’s gonna be a long-ass day! But I’ve tended to the critters’ early needs, I’ve breakfasted, I ran the dishwasher, and I’m caffeinating.
The freezer is full of water bottles for this afternoon and I’m just hoping the grounds are solid enough to handle the stroller. Since it didn’t rain yesterday, it should be good. We’ll be leaving around 11:30 and I hope we’re home before 7 - we shall see.
I sat outside last night, both out front and out back, and he never showed up. I sat outside earlier this morning and no cat, although it’s not unusual for him to not come home before 7. My son just let the dog out and still no cat.
I get off irk in 10 minutes, I guess I’d better go look for him. I hope he’s just sleeping off a night of hunting mice.
Today will be a semi-lazy day. I do need to go back to Tar-jay for something that I forgot and then to Staples sometime. Then there are the usual Sunday chores that will take all of a half hour.
FCM, looking forward to your description of your adventures this evening.
Nut, enjoy your days off.
Well, my mind/body interface decided to be nice and let me stay in bed until 8:30am. Need to do a little shopping for what groceries I can put into a small refrigerator and an overcrowded room, and seek sustenance from some place (Golden Corral is tempting me). Other than getting some soccer e-mails out and mowing the lawn this evening (it’s already 85F outside, so morning mowage does not tempt me) there is nothing much on the schedule.
A lot of my coworkers have taken vacations this month. I’ve felt a little jealous because I’ve felt pretty overworked and would like some time off to relax.
I’m working 10 days in a row, but my company will provide me with two PTO days next Thursday and Friday. This means I only need to survive to Wednesday, and I get a four-day weekend. It might not seem like much, but I’m excited, and I don’t burn any crucial vacation days I have banked.
I slept until almost 9am - woo-hoo! I have made coffee and I think knocks on available wood that I might have a tolerable haid today. This means that we might do packing planning and/or see a movie. The trick is always not to do too much and go right back into hiding in the dark.
Otherwise, otherwise… I haven’t made enough coffee. Onwards into the day. Happy Sunday everyone.
