Wuthering Heights, Depths and Carparks - a charitable MMP

OOPS! I forgot… them’s some purty pots and things there FCM!

Hi people!

I’m back from the grocery store. Got stuff to make a yummy recipe of Chicken and Red Wine with Tarragon. Also bought a bunch of stuff to make cookies to give away to my work and Mr. Rebo’s work.

I wore myself out yesterday when I took a rambunctious Lucy to the dog park. She ran herself ragged! It was fun, but I had to take a nap when I got back. Beautiful weather here, but a little chilly - in the mid 50’s.

Later Mr. Rebo and I are going Christmas tree shopping. Just a table top model. Easy to decorate, easy to take down! I’ve done this for 4 years now.

Beautiful pots, FCM! I adore the white one with cobalt inside. It’s fun to watch the progression of your work - you’re getting better and better!

Thanks for the nice words, everyone. Rebo, I’m really pleased with the progress I’ve made since starting this class. I made one really nice piece in the first class, and a whole lot of iffy things since then, but I think I’ve turned a corner - fewer and fewer failures. I have high hopes for this new class I’m starting next month.

And I’m thinking there will be more white and cobalt pieces in my future - maybe an entire product line!! I like the dark green, too.

Last load of clothes are in the washer. Once the jeans come out of the dryer, I’ll be digging out the sewing machine. I should probably water my houseplants, too. For a lazy day, it’s pretty busy…

the white over magenta works well too - make a line of those and you have a customer

I’ll have to find a magenta glaze - the one you got (right??) - is from my class. I’ll have to check the clay supply place and see what other colors they have. Or maybe I’ll learn in my new class how to make my own custom colors??

Custom Colors By FCM Can we get in on the IPO?

I have an urge, nay a craving for an Arby’s cheddar cheese melt and some of those potato things they have. Maybe I will call ol’ what’s his face up and offer to get some Arby’s for supper and head over to his place for some [del]hot sweaty homosex[/del] stimulating adult conversation.

You use your sewing machine to water your houseplants?

I ended up spending the afternoon doing something other than the transcript I was supposed to be working on. But it was in a good cause – daughter palebunny is coming to visit earlier than expected, so we had to clear out the master bedroom closet enough that Papa Tigs could put his office clothes in there. See, he keeps it in the spare bedroom closet so that he can go turn on lights and get dressed and all and not disturb me when he gets up at 0 dark 15, but palebunny will be using that room.

So I finally did the sorting out not only my seasonal clothes but also a massive Goodwill selection, plus some freecycle stuff. So now I need to go finish listing the rest on freecycle. If y’all will excuse me…

I’m, STILL cold and I haven’t been outside in 3 and a half hours.

Brrr.

But we won, without any semblance of offensive might or even competence. Still, a win is a win.

I have a nice toasty fire working, just took the heat pad off my neck, and I plan to do nuttin at all the rest of the night.

Cool pots FCM!

Great work as usual, FCM! I looked for the kitty cat bank but didn’t see it.

I have been internet free all day because my mouse died. I now have a new mouse. I also went to TJMaxx and got two new pairs of jeans and a Christmas tree ornament.

I need to go prowl for dinner.

I meant whatever color is under the white on the bowl you are keeping - that’s real purty!

I know I missed a few things back there… the one that’s occurring to me right now is LiLi’s RCIA comment. Sorry you can’t fully participate sooner, but I think it could make Lent more meaningful (there’s a reason they receive most people into the Church at the Easter vigil).

Life is back to normal (if you can call it that). We painted, went through Christmas decorations, went out to a playground and then had Chinese for lunch. Very unmemorable fortune.

Pretty pretty stuff, FCM. I actually like the ones with the blurry black lines.

Went to Target (entry fee wasn’t too bad: $122 or so) and got a bunch of Christmas stuff. A couple of things to finish off decorations, but also some presents. Got this really nice spiced pear scent diffuser. Smells very Christmas-y, I think.

Went to 6:00 p.m. mass and now I’m having hot chocolate, watching The Family Stone (which is much sadder when you’ve seen it before), and finishing off the tree and mantel. Kids didn’t have the patience to do the whole job. But, I did achieve my goal of giving the little brother enough to decorate his apartment with. (His business isn’t quite established enough for him to be spending on decorations if he doesn’t have to.)

Now I’m having a major allergy attack. Trying to figure out if it’s the nice-smelling stuff or maybe overexposure to all the dusty Christmas decorations. Just took some antihistamines. Hopefully that’ll do it.

Well…gotta finish decorating, then it’s off to bed.

Home, beer, and pizza.

FCM, not a butt plug? You know your MMPers so well.

Or, if you’re like me, it’s both the dusty stuff and the smelly stuff.

We used to do our grocery shopping at an Albertsons that had bales of cinnamon-scented pine cones at this time of year. Apparently some people think that smells good and holiday-ish, but we couldn’t even stand to be near the things.

Today was string lights on the house and assemble the tree day, capped off with making a big pot of chicken soup.

goodbye sweet mmp, i read ye so well.

It’s still awaiting glaze, as is the bear bank I made in class… Next batch.

Ah - I agree - that was supposed to be burgundy under clear, but it was a pleasant surprise the way it came out.
