Have not seen a thread for it, but 13 titles are coming to the xbox one tomorrow, oct 24. Nice because I still have four of those titles , and I think I paid 50 dollars canadian back in the day. Its kinda annoying in one way, that I can’t start loading the titles now. I am assuming that the original disc authenticates, and a digital copy has to be downloaded, so thats time I have to wait. If I could load up now, and simply wait till the gate opens, that would be fine.
Multiplayer for Crimson Skies is gonna be rammed, first time I am going to have to wait for that game in a long time. The second batch of titles is going to be released in the spring. Its a curated roll out and if you have a favorite game, it might be a while before it rolls out. Some companies no longer exist, others had contracts written in paper, a big deal for some reason, while others might be missing music due to rights issues.
Here’s the list I found, based on what’s being offered in the Store:
[ul]
[li]Black[/li][li]BloodRayne 2[/li][li]Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge[/li][li]Dead to Rights[/li][li]Ninja Gaiden Black[/li][li]Fuzion Frenzy[/li][li]Grabbed by the Ghoulies[/li][li]The King of Fighters Neowave[/li][li]Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time[/li][li]Psychonauts[/li][li]Red Faction 2[/li][li]Sid Meier’s Pirates![/li][li]Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic[/li][/ul]
I’m surprised the Halo games aren’t on there. Did they maybe rerelease them already?
The Halo: Master Chief Collection had all of previous Halo games in it, with updated graphics.
I loved both of the Crimson Skies games, and am looking forward to being able to play again. Now I wonder if GOG or someone has the first one playable on win 10.
Well thats a bummer, Crimson skies for anyone curious no longer has xbox live, so the only way your going to get multiplayer is to use system link through something called Kai, which sounds a lot like the old xboxconnect.
I found my Crimson Skies disc in a dust-covered milk crate, and right next to it was Kotor.
The Crimson Skies download was 4.78 gig. I haven’t installed Kotor, and probably won’t.
I’m amused that on the back of all the Xbox discs was the proud “HD Enabled: 480p”.
Oh, and to answer my own question from before: there appears to not be any official backports to the PC Crimson Skies, but there is apparently a fan-made patch that lets it run on modern systems.
