Yankees suck

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.

Yeah, that $180 million payroll has nothing to do with it.

Miami?

Bwhahaha!

Go Yanks!!!

Aw C’mon, all you fellow Yankee haters! Won’t it be deliciously sweet when the Yankees get beat by the upstart Marlins??

My favorite part of the whole Yankees-Red Sox rivalry is that Bostonians cheer “Yankees Suck!” during non baseball events.

Nothing like getting into the heads of your enemies.

Indeed. I think the Yankees will win, but I sure as heck won’t count Florida out yet.

Only if by “baseball gods” you mean Dusty Baker and Grady Little.

I couldn’t believe Little left Pedro in when they’d obviously locked onto him. He wasn’t even breaking 80 mph with his pitches. I’m fully convinced he was paid off. The Sox were the better team last night, and Little just threw it away.

Sox fans might want to try harder, we’re still winning, and they’re still losing. :stuck_out_tongue:

Si.

What the fuck is wrong with water polo? I like water polo, though I can’t play it at all.

As for the Yankees sucking, you have to hand it to them, they grinded out for the win. What’s that the second 8th inning loss in two series? Hell you would think the Cubs and Sox wouldn’t just say, we’ve got a 5 run lead, we’ve won this thing. Hell you’d fucking think the Sox would have been smart to watch the Cubs and say, Shit man you can lose easy if you’re complacent about it.

Clearly, you didn’t watch the game. The Sox didn’t get complacent, they knew they were in a tight spot. They just had a moron for a manager.

Poetic justice. The instigator of the Sunday fights gets left in the game for one too many batters. What a boneheaded move by Grady talkslikeForrestGump Little. The Red Sox bullpen had been masterful to this point in the series, and five outs from the pennant Grady is too afraid of his star to use it. The curse of the goat isn’t with the Cubs, it’s with the Red Sox, and that goat is Grady Little.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

(I can laugh, I live in Miami and know how incredibly true that is.)

List of cities to avoid unless you are paid large sums of money to visit:

  1. New York
  2. Miami

Derek Jeter
Alfonso Soriano
Bernie Williams
Andy Pettite
Mariano Rivera
Nick Johnson
Jorge Posada (not 100% on this one, though)

What do all of these names have in common? They all came up through the Yankees farm system. 5 out of 8 position starters, the premier closer in baseball, and a 21-game winner. So much for the salaried ringers looted from other clubs fallacy.

I thought the saying is “Jeter sucks and the Yankees blow”.

My heart is broken, I’m tired and cranky but, the Red Sox should be proud of their work this season. They never gave up.

Cowboy up next year guys, I still love you.

First off, Fuck You to everybody trashing NYC. We all aren’t Yankee fans. In fact, I hate the fucking Yankees. And I haven’t seen a grafitti covered car in decades. You should stop getting your information from The Warriors.

Second, you think you got it bad try being a Mets fan and having to put up with all this Yankee bullshit day in and day out year after year. Its like living in Germany when Adolf was in charge.

Lets go Marlins!!

GAH! Miami versus New York.

Rude: North Versus Rude: South – this time it’s to the death. (Well, that would be nice)

(…And there’s nothing like sending the Bean-Town Rats scurrying back up interstate 95 in a Massive Traffic Jam of Losers!!!)

Back, you Un-dead of Baseball Fan-dom!!! Back!!! Back to your Crypts, back to your Coffins, back to your Bickford’s Pancake Houses From Hell!!! The portal to the World Series has been guarded successfully against you slack-jawed lobster-munchers for yet another year. Now, Be Gone Foul Creatures!!!

Contrast the homegrown Yankees with the homegrown Red Sox. Homegrown starters for the Red Sox:

Garciaparra
Nixon
Varitek
Lowe

You can do this comparison with most teams in baseball, especially those with higher payrolls (Mets, LA) and you will see (gasp!) that all these people complaining about the Yankees buying championships run into a problem when you actually look at the numbers.

Now, were the able to pay these players once their contracts came up in a way that Montreal wasn’t and Oakland won’t. Yes. But the Red Sox have no reason to complain about this one. They tried to buy a team, and put together a good one. Not a great one.
