I feel an obligation now to update for my loyal subscribers; Mary and I had a few drinks today and talked; she decided that she’s not getting back with the ex after all. We talked for a few hours over drinks and she is in many ways similar to Lauren, except she’s never been married and has no kids. She told me the tragic story about how she got engaged to someone way too quickly and has a wedding dress she hasn’t used from five years ago. She is also very book-smart (like Ashley) and I still find her interesting. I know Lauren and I aren’t exclusive, but sometimes people will say they aren’t exclusive and then they’ll get upset if the other party sees someone else. I really do care about Lauren and don’t want to make her feel badly, but Mary is interesting to me in a different way, we’re just going to hang out together tomorrow night, but I’m going to ask her out again, I think.
