I have a few t-shirts from high school and college that I keep moving from place to place, even though they haven’t fit in years and/or are too yucky to ever wear outside the house. I’ve gotten better about paring down this “collection,” but apparently I attach sentiment to inanimate objects waaaay too easily.

Hmm…do I get to have magical powers if that’s a part of the universe? If I get to be Gifted, I’ll take Tamora Pierce’s world. If not, I’d like to hang out with Ayla in Earth’s Children - dreadful books, but everyone around her gets laid a lot, and I can’t wait until she invents shoe polish.

Great og, I can’t believe I’m admitting this…I still have a pair of blue jeans that belonged to The One That Got Away [sup]TM[/sup], circa 1995. Every time I do a closet purge I come across them, marvel that I once fit into his jeans, and consider throwing them out. Then I start crying and fold them and put them away again. Issues? I have a subscription, dahling! :smiley:

I have an old Green Windbreaker, it has a few paint stains on it and is 15+ years old. I was wearing the night Jason Giambi hit a walkoff Grandslam in the 14th inning against the Twins and the skies broke open. I was in the right field Bleachers and the ball sailed over my head by a mere foot. The night and the moment was magical. This Jacket, I will try to keep until I die.
