Yet Another Desktop Screenshot Thread

Stupid conference call was supposed to start twenty minutes ago.
B-O-R-E-D. Bored.

Here’s mine:

Here’s mine (shrunk down from the original 1920x1200)

The Earth image is live and constantly changing.

Here’s mine, reduced in scale.

I like to have my icons grouped in certain areas so I know where to find everything. I can’t understand how people can cope with the default columns of randomly placed ones.

I don’t think there’s anything incriminating on there.

How do you take a screenshot like that?

on a PC, press the PrintScreen button on your keyboard, then paste into an image program. On a Mac, press Command-Shift-3, and the screen shot will land on your desktop, in PDF form (open it to save as a different file type).

Mine is NSFW, but features a lovely girl named Altea.

Nor do I, I like to have them grouped according to general functions.

Mine. Pretty boring to look at, but looks a lot better with all the Compiz animations running.

Mine is pretty boring as well.

Not unlike my room, mine is a freakin’ mess.

That’s pretty cool. Where did you get that?

ETA: and is it available for Windows?

I have several hundred photos (almost all are one that’s I’ve taken), that I rotate through randomly, every 5 minutes, for my two-monitor desktop. Sometimes the machine picks a good pairing. This was my desktop a few minutes ago. I took both were taken on my honeymoon, in Venice, last October.

I’m rather fond of the background image on my desktop at work. Five bonus points and a penny in free gasoline to the first person who can identify it.

How come your shell prompt doesn’t have the machine name?

I’ve never been able to figure it out. It really bothers me, for some reason.

Maggots. Maggots. Maggots. Maggots. Maggots.

I’m not going to take a screenshot, but I’m using this photo as my wallpaper.

And I don’t do icons. The only ones on my desktop are the XP ones I don’t know how to get rid of (My Computer, etc.) Everything else that I use frequently is in my QuickLaunch bar. My desktop is cleeeeeean.

Tell me where you’d like your penny mailed. You’re responsible for the postage, though.

Mine. I took the background photo in Grand Cayman. The shadows in the water are stingrays.

Right-click on the Desktop, select Arrange Icons By –> and uncheck Show Desktop Icons. That should completely hide all of the desktop icons.

As I am affiliated with the product, I am not really sure I can mention it here. Folks can PM me if interested.
