I doubt it’s a big deal if someone asks you. You’re not exactly spamming the boards with advertisements, you know? But anyway, thanks for the link, black rabbit. And whatever you did to help with that software, great job Desert Nomad!
ETA: thanks for the PM, DN. To anyone else interested, it’s actually not Xplanet, but Earthdesk 4.
It’s a two-monitor set-up,. and obviously the right-hand monitor is my main one. The background image is a shot of Ullwater, in the English Lakes District, that i took when i lived there in the early 1990s.
The Apple-style program selector at the top of the screen is a piece of free software called RocketDock, which i highly recommend.
Widescreen livin!
I keep it simple. The background is a Martian sunset, which I’m rather smitten with.
I used to use litestep but it was just too buggy for me. Still got it on the laptop, though.
WoodenTaco, I have the same image that I use as a background sometimes. SO says it’s “bleak”, but I think it’s great. I’ve got another one of rover tracks that’s also really cool.
Internet connection is acting weird right now, but I’ll try to post some pictures later.
