Yet Another Mundane and Pointless MMP

Worked for a bit, went to the feed store and got Gordie a new bag of food. He sucked down the bowl in 45 seconds, and went into a food coma. Make Inferno chicken, with quinoa with chilies and green beans. Watched last night’s USA/Finland Wone’s hockey game. Go Lamouroux sisters!*

Thanks to some whinny baby over in The Pit, today’s plans include going to see Black Panther. I knew it was coming out but didn’t know when: dates tend to change by location and I get ads which think I’m in half a dozen different countries.

French version so I’m not sure how much I’ll understand, but popcorn and explosions are universal.

With all the rain, freeze, thaw, snow, rain, thaw, rinse, and repeat we’re starting to look like California. In other words mudslides may hamper my plans to bike some today.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 64 Amurrkin out and partly cloudy with a predicted high of 82 and mostly cloudy for the day. TWPTB say there is a slight chance of rain or a tstorm this afternoon. The big plan today is to do laundry. Rah. We shall sup upon red beans and rice with snausage, sallit, and garlic bread.

Jim’s funeral will be this comin’ Sunday at four p.m. at St. Paul’s with burial to follow at St. Patrick’s. I imagine a packed house. Thanks to everyone for the kind words.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then, onward to the washer and dryer!

Happy Tuesday Y’all!

Up, caffeinated ,and sheveled. Off to work.

And I’m back in the office. It’s as if the weekend never happened…

{{{swampy}}} - Jim sounds like he was a helluva guy. I’m sure he’ll be sorely missed.

Incidentally, I don’t sing and dance while I dust - I’m lucky I can walk without wheezing! :stuck_out_tongue:

**Nava **- How is it the Pit pushed you to go see a movie? I can’t imagine what could make me go to a comic-book hero movie under any circumstances. But maybe that’s just me.

We’re promised temps in the low 70s today and tomorrow before it chills again. But no mention of freezing temps for the next 10 days, which is a plus. Kinda makes me believe Spring may show up yet!

Happy Tuesday!

{{Swampy}}

Show me your nuts.

C’mon, not like you gotta ride on the right side, like real bikes.

Really, you don’t get see the connection? Sheesh!

I haven’t even looked in the Pit myself; I have no clue either. :stuck_out_tongue:

‘Tis a gloomy, cloudy, <snerk> 69! <snerk> degrees Amurrkin out and the neighbors two door down have a fire goin’ in their fireplace. Maybe they’re roastin’ chikins. Remember the scene in It’s A Wonderful Life when George comes home and Mary has chikins roastin’ in the fireplace? That’s what I imagine my neighbors are doin’. I take my amusement where I can get my amusement. In other news, one load of clothes washed and in the dryer and another in the washer.

Man, if the temp rose to 69° here, I’d have windows open! Your neighbors are wimps!

Afternoon all. I thought I was nuts?

Burfday weekend away was good, weird to get back to study; it’s been all physical irk for the last few weeks, and now I have to brain again.

My bad news for the day is that I appear to no longer have bees; just went to check on them, to see if they needed any supplementary feed, but the only bees there were dead. Not sure why, I didn’t have all the gear with me as I was only going in for a quick peek, so I didn’t go right through the hive. Ill go back later in the week to clean it all out, so hopefully I can work out what went wrong then.

It is starting me wondering if I should replace them or not; I really like having them, but they do complicate things at a time when I already really have enough going on, and it heavily restricts planning holidays in summer. It’ll be several months before replacing them becomes an option anyway though, so I don’t have to decide now.

Happy Toosday!

it’s a N.O.S. 54 degrees outside. Supposed to get up to 79 today and tomorrow, then drop back into the 40s.

I didn’t sleep through the night last night and I slept through all my alarms.
Today is my sleep in day, so I was up in time for irk.

Today is dog day, the day we trim his nails and clean his ears. It’s also heart worm and flea pill day.
I have to call the vet today about his shots. HIs ear looks better, I still have plenty of unopened bottles of the ear drops (over the counter) we used with Mackie and we used that. It’s great stuff and worked better than any prescription meds we ever got.

Today (or tomorrow) is trim the crepe myrtle day.
I’m hoping I can convince Sah-son to cut down a small tree in the back yard.
It’s growing through the fence and is too close to the house.

{{{Swampy}}} and {{{Wiki}}}

The last movie I went to was Spiderman, that was for Sah-son and his friend.
It’s amazing what you will do for your kids that you will never do for yourself.
Just wait FCM, ir won’t be long before you are going to whatever is the latest kiddie show.
The last movie before that was Monsters, Inc.

The last movie I saw as an adult was Tron, so that tells you how much I like going to the movies.

Lots to do today since crap took longer than I expected it to yesterday.
I hate phone call days, they never go as planned.

Sorry about your bees Nuts.

{{swampy}} Sounds like the Deacon was quite a guy.

{{Nut}} on losing the bees.

Guy due to come by to fix the walls sometime today. It’s 68F and clear but once again have to stay around the house. Such is life.

**sari **- I won’t be taking the kid to the movies - we’ll do museums and parks and such. I’m not a much of a movie person anyway. That can be a parental perk.

((((Swampy)))) Sorry about your friend. (((Nuts)))) Sorry about your bees,

Blurf, Back at irk. Fun Fun.

A lawyer comes into his office & checks his messages. There’s one from Mickey Mouse; seems he wants a divorce because Minnie is nuts. He does some research & calls Mickey back.
“Mickey, I’m sorry things aren’t working out for you but I looked; in both FL & CA you can’t divorce Minnie because she’s crazy.”

Mickey replies, “Who said anything about crazy, I said she’s fucking Goofy.”

So what you’re saying is you’re too buzzzzy for bees? :stuck_out_tongue:

What a wonderful woman you are!

No problem; we all understand on one level or another. I guess I feel loss among my church family as much as I do family-family. I see and do so many more things with them and so much more often that they are a central part of my life and what makes up “me”. Prayers ascend for all.

Yeah – but if I slide over to the far left (like I do most elections  ) and cut over the opposite sidewalk Mr Policeman man wish to have a conversation with me. You he wouldn’t look at twice.

I am heading out to the garage shortly to do a tire check and usual TCLOKS and maybe a warm-up. That itch there just won’t go away quite.

What is the difference between a catfish and a lawyer?

One is a slimy scum-sucking bottom-feeder living off the misfortune of its fellow creatures and

the other one is a fish

No motivation today. Sleepy since it is my nap time. Bored but don’t want to do anything.

Sucks being me.

Thanks Y’all! Jim was indeed a great guy and a whole lot of us feel as if we’ve lost a close family member. He was seriously loved by a whole lotta folks!

{{{Nuts}}} sorry about the bees. I have a good friend who is into beekeepin’ so I imagine I’d have to do a lot of consolin’ if he lost his bees. Of course I’d be sad too cause I’ve been gettin’ free local honey. Also, I have some cool stuff made out of beeswax.

:dubious:

Filbert, do you know what caused the bee loss? There is an insect of some sort in North America that kills hives.
