Russell Johnson, “The Professor” of Gilligan’s Island is on the Wagon Train episode I am watching. The guy who could make a nuclear reactor from a coconut, but could not repair a hole in a boat.
:dubious:
Enjoy the excitatin’ life that is yours. It’s good to have fellow happy people around. Brighten the forums. Keep up your happy shit. (Not that you need any encouragement.) I wish you kittens and rainbows. (Only during Lent. The rest of the year I’m pretty stingy about my goodwill.)
He was a scientist, not a carpenter.
My ex-husband was an electronics technician.
He didn’t know how to turn on the washing machine, make himself a sandwich, or balance a checkbook.
We’s sleepified so it’s off to the boudoir. Nitey Nite Y’all!
bjorn I don’t think we get to have kittens and rainbows durin’ Lent. Sounds way too festive.
I have a BS in electronic technology and a MS in Instrumentation and electronics, and I can do those things.
Jeez.
Worked, came home, beer. 4 more days till a day off(?).
:eek::eek:![]()
I’m actually fine, I didn’t celebrate the Gold Medal win that hard. Maybe you’re thinking of Bbbobbio?(Middle aged balding white dudes with mustaches all look the same?;))

Welcome! We’ll have to find you a nickname(which may have bugger all to do with you username).
Bumba, home OMS feels better.
That’s right. Bobbio got his transplant. I need to drop by his Facebook and see how he’s doing. If none of youse beat me to it, I will share what tidings I may find.
Send 'em all my way; I’m one of them godless heathens, so I don’t have to worry. My rental agreement may have some issues with the kittens, but I shall explain it’s for the good of mumper souls, so I’m sure it’ll be OK.
Back at irk today for the first time in a few weeks; I only do one day a week there, and was off sick one week, then off the next 'cos I was going away for the weekend, after changing days the week before. Almost forgot irk was a thing I’m supposed to do.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 61 Amurrkin out and clear (well, dark but TWPTB say clear) with a predicted high of 82 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. Also pollen. Lots of pollen. The pine tree orgy is movin’ into high gear. I shall go see Miss Becky in the nursin’ home early this afternoon. She desires a pimento cheese sammich so she shall have a pimento cheese sammich. I made some yestiddy. I foresee some fried shrimpies to sup upon. YUM!
As for Bbbobbio he posted the followin’ on my facebook timeline yestiddy:
“Back from my clinic. Liver still settling in, labs are almost
normal. No signs of infection or rejection. Lost all sutures and half of my staples, with the remaining staples to be pulled next week.”
So things are goin’ pretty good for him right now.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. At some point I suppose I must purtify bein’ as I am committed to goin’ about the public.
Happy Firday Y’all!
I had to drive the truck today. I don’t like driving the truck. OK, I also didn’t want to come in anyway, but that’s neither here nor there.
It’s the end of a *looooooooong *short week - these 4 days have seemed like forever. But I’ve made it - just 9 hours till I can go home.
Happy Firday, all!!!
Up, caffeinated ,and sheveled. Off to work. Hockey after work.
Happy Firday!
It’s another cold, wet, miserable day.
It could be worse though, it’s raining, not snowing.
The cat is on my list this morning.
I was sleeping so deep, and managed to sleep through the night, and he woke me up an hour before I needed to get up.
He whacked me once, then I heard him banging on Sah-son’s door. Then he came back and whacked me with his claws.
That woke me up!
Other than irk, I don’t know what I’m doing today.
I plan on making stuffed peppers for dinner for me, tacos for him.
Then again I may make one of those today and the other tomorrow.
I got Doggio and Bobbio confused a few times, but only because of the consonant-‘o’-double consonant-‘io’ combo.
I’m sure people get me and Sario (Rio) mixed up as well.
I had a bit of trouble with** Red** and Rockin’ because the red red robin comes bob bob bobbin’ along
Where are Rockin’, BigKitty, and Peaches anyway?
'course we do, but we’re not supposed to have rainbow kittens because kittens aren’t rainbow-colored.
It is too cold here
Sunny, but cold.
Crazy busy week for me over here at Education Central - I have not even had time to read all the mumper goings-on. I just know that hugs are required all round. So have 'em!
LUNCH TIME!!! And boy do I need it!
Very busy morning. But a few more hours to go, then I can go home. Not that it matters - we’re promised a rainy, dreary weekend. But no snow, so there’s that.
Dear-heart, with some of the stuff and tools in my garage, we could probably change that. ![]()
With my eyesight all I had to do was remove my glasses and … not that I was thinking along those lines or anything.
That wasn’t always the case; just with the current junta. Its almost like the couple at the top want to remove anyone who thinks it can be done well without crushing peasants on a daily basis. Our shift ended at 10pm and I got home at 2am so --------------- it was a fun send-off.
We started this tradition of friends gathering after someone’s last shift at this watering-hole way back when. Originally it was because we were all sad; the person leaving (almost always by choice for something better) and all of us because we had such a great team. Now we’re almost happy in a strange way like when someone dies after a long and debilitating disease; their pain is over and they can move on. Its strange like that. We all have hope it will get better but there are those days --------
And I volunteered for a triple Sunday since we’re going to be short-handed. Yes, I am an idiot. :smack:
Actually in a way it makes sense. You have to be there a year or more and at least one holiday season. If you do that and really hate it all better to get you to move on than to stay and pollute the entire floor with negative vibes (think Moriarty in Kelly’s Heroes). It also gives a chance for those too beaten down physically (FCs can be really brutal) to continue a chance to bail. The average seems to be (TPTB never tell us anything solid but with the internet we do talk around) about 10-15% but I have been told of times and places where it was as high as 50%. That place was found to be so bad that TPTB simply shut down the entire place, canned all the bosses, and moved on. It was almost like a mutiny. This year among those with 2 or more years and 3 Peaks we’re going to be around that 50% but a lot of the 1 year people are sticking (they get less money as a pay-out) so I don’t have a good feel for what our final result is going to be come March 1.
Ruble, thanks for the info. Having worked in Government for 34 years, I forgot how working life without rules can be.
doggio, bobbio, all those ‘io’ people are all the same to me…
Well, my bathroom is now more or less normal, need some work on the doorframe and floor molding, but at least I can now bathe in my large whirlpool tub for hours if I so choose…and I think I will choose to do so shortly.
Plumbing problems are expensive as hell.
'Beamer is feeling poorly. He’s very depressed. There’s talk of hospitalizing him, which I am reluctant to do for now. If it has to change, then it will. With his autism, changes in routine are really hard for him. I just can’t see how going to an entirely new place wouldn’t make everything worse, not better. I think he would miss his dog, and his bed, and us, and just be that much more miserable. In any case, it’s all been a worry.
Happy Firday to all. {{{hugs}}} to everyone too, just because hugs are good.
{{{Sunny}}} sounds like you need a hug yourself. Blurf. I have to irk a half day tomorrow… oh joy.
