I alternate between four: The opening songs to Galaga, Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, and Dig-Dug.
I like the old 80’s video game songs, because the phones can reproduce them pretty accurately.
I hate cell phones but I kind of like the one I heard that had a cat meowing.

My business phone has a normal chirping ring, but the phone my wife carries plays Ode to Joy.
Mine plays Fur Elise, unless it’s my husband calling, then it plays Ode to Joy, and if my Mom or sister call, it plays something called “Invention” which sounds vaguely Asian.

I’ve never heard anyone else with these tones. But, I’ve heard some other tones I wished I had.
Personal calls ring with “IRONMAN” (all phones should play BLACK SABBATH), business calls just “ring” (a very businesslike ring).

Mine does the City Bird Chirping thing, because otherwise, in certain situations, I might not hear it, and there are people who go BALLISTIC if I don’t answer my cell phone.
I programmed mine to play the refrain from Carmen. I know that having melodic ringtones is obnoxious, but I can’t help it. I think it’s cool. 
I leave it on vibrate, partly for your reason, and partly because I’m always afraid I’m going to be in a meeting or church or a movie and have to scramble to shut it off under the evil glare of others.
I just go for the ring tone. Its a phone for crying out loud. If I want real music I’ll phone a radio station.
Mine plays the mariachi horn intro from Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash. I created the ringtone myself - as far as I know, nobody else has it.
I no longer reach for my phone when somebody else’s rings.
