MOOOOOOM and Taters y’all just have to meet up! There’s plenty of time to organize a Seattle dope fest. Start a thread. I did when I went to Seattle and we had a good ol Dope Festin’ time!
It’s almost four o’clock. I say it’s time for a beer!

swampy, **Taters **and I have met, but it would be nice to see her again. I wonder if **Bumba **would make the trek north for me…?? I’ll post when I know the dates for sure.
Hi all!
Glad to hear the surgery isn’t a horrible price, gotti. Hope it does the trick.
And glad things look better today, Taters.
Wow, MamaT, that’s disturbing. Most pharmacists I know would be mortified that they’d made that kind of mistake.
I’ve frittered away my day off napping, knitting and watching TV online. Woke up with a fever and icky sinuses. It’s better now, I think, but I’m still taking it easy. I’m supposed to take a glass mosaic class tomorrow and I’d really like not to miss it.
I just put some garlic bread in the oven (haven’t eaten all that much, but that sounded good somehow). Really need to go to the grocery, but don’t feel like it.
Back to bed. Well and to wait for the garlic bread to be done.
Hugs.

Oooh! Oooh! **FCM **is coming here! We most definitely need to meet up. I’m about 10 miles from Tacoma!
There are lovely waterfront restaurants where you can see all the boats on the bay.
Anyway, I’m most definitely looking forward to your coming and would really like the opportunity to meet up with you. I’d much appreciate the chance to extend the same hospitality you extended to me.
Whew! It’s been a busy day…again. I’ve literally just returned home. I left at 11:00 this morning. I took my daughter down to UW, drove to downtown Puyallup and had my shoes repaired, drove back to Tacoma to pick my daughter up, drove back out here to South Hill/Puyallup, went grocery shopping, drove my daughter to her credit union, finally came home and just now finished unloading the groceries.
You all would be so proud of me. About four different times today I almost pulled into a mini-mart to buy a pack of smokes. I resisted each and every time, but I still really, really want a smoke.
Hang in there Taters! Seriously, go buy the sugar free hard candy to suck on. It really helped.
I made some N.O.T. sallit and some beer brats for dindin. YUM! It’s like gettin’ the first taste of warm weather and summer. Served the brats on some really great buns with the bell peppers and onions and spicy mustard.
Fart fest to follow anytime now!
I love beer brats.
I’m seriously debating reporting the pharmacist to the state pharmacy boad. If he’d displayed even some remorse, I might not, but he basically went, “Oops, my bad!” and went right on from there like it was nothing. That definitely bothers me. It bothered the head of pharmacy at Papa Tigs’ hospital, too, who about choked when Papa Tigs told him about it today. So I’m thinking a report to the authorities might not be a bad thing. Who knows how many times he’s done something like this and blown it off? This may be the first, but even so, he needs to learn that it’s a little more serious than he seems to be treating it!
Anyway, enough of that. My head is finally clearing to where I can knit something more complex than garter stitch. I actually had to start a garter stitch project just so I’d have something I could knit without totally screwing up. Now, of course, I want to finish it instead of getting back to what I should be knitting, graduation gift lace scarves for my two nieces. Or start the second sock of the pair for Papa Tigs. Or finish the first worsted sock of the pair for me. Or one of the other 27 projects I’ve got in various stages of incompletion. I’ve had a bad case of startitis lately, can’t you tell?
I particularly love the visual of rotten kids soaked in beer.
ETA: BioTigs that Pharmacist deserves to be in some hot water. If for no other reason, to make sure it never happens again. I say go for it.
Well, of course I love my lil brats, Swampy. Soaking them in beer mellows them out a bit.
Wow, I really hope that was a one time screw up for the Pharmacist, BioTigs, but somehow, I don’t think it really is.
Chop-chop has been consumed. I’s stuffed.
**Taters **- I’ll have a weekend when I come out west, but I’ll be sharing a rental car. No idea where I’ll be staying yet, but I’ll keep you apprised of the assorted details. One way or another, we’ll get together!
And keep it up with the butt-free life - it’ll be worth it, and you know it! Fingers crossed for you!!
You guys couldn’t plan this little Seattle area get-together during the month I’m out there, could you? Phooey on you all! Although, actually, I wouldn’t have had time to go anywhere or do anything, so it’s all moot – the entire month I was in Seattle, I took exactly 3 hours one afternoon for myself. Yeah, not exactly a fun vacation.
The new, much-lower-dose meds have been consumed. I am not feeling even slightly spacey. I am also not hurting. Yay! This is the way it’s supposed to be.
So whatcha knitting these days, Moooom?
MamaTigs, one time I had a pharmacist give me a medication that wasn’t even mine! It just had my name on it! I had the presence of mind to question it - I asked had my doctor called it in. The clerk didn’t know shit, but I looked up what it the medicine was for (which I can’t remember at the moment) and realized that it was contra-indicated for me and my medical problems.
I called the pharmacist (the other one, not the one that filled it) and she about freaked! Told me to bring it back. I complained very loudly! The one who filled it got written up by the board, and no longer worked there the next time I went in.
What am I knitting?
Well, I just finished another helmet liner that I’ve promised to a guy I know thru work, if he ever emails me the address to send it to.
I’m almost finished a small afghan for Project Linus. And I have another lap robe afghan in progress. I’ll take both to my mom for her AARP group - they have several places they take such things.
And when I want a quick turn-around item, I knit a dishcloth - those only take a couple of hours.
It keeps my fingers limber, which is good.
Incidentally, glad your drugs are straightened out. Report the yutz!!!
Have I ever mentioned that I have tried knitting and crocheting? Why, yes, I am gay why do you ask?
Problem is, I can’t get the hang of either. Knitting I don’t get because apparently I have the attention span of a gnat with ADD. Crocheting because I’m a lefty and it just didn’t make sense whenever anybody (all right handed) tried to teach me. Thus, I shall never, I suppose, fulfill my dreams of crocheting toilet paper covers for all my friends and family. Woe is me!
I survived work. I talked to Nelly’s foster mom, she’s much cooler than Frau Blucher. I’ll get Nelly tomorrow when she gets back into town.
Hang in there, Taters!
MamaTigs, go get 'em.
<breaking internet silence>
Vaya con Dios, JoeDawg.
<resuming internet silence>
No worries, FCM. If whoever you share your rental car with is using it, I’m sure we could pick you up and drive to wherever we end up going and drop you off again. After all, you did the same for me.
I’m looking forward to seeing you again.
Morning Mumpers. I get Nelly today. I’m off tomorrow, since the store is closed. i need a new shift key.
Up, despite my best efforts to fall back to sleep. It rained, but I think it’s done - hard to tell from the weather radar.
Doggio, you will post pics of the meeting of the pups, won’t you??
**FCD **wants to spend the weekend futzing on the boat. I need to get groceries, do some laundry, and clean a couple of pet stains off the carpet. Then I’m going to try to sculpt a couple of wall-climbing cats. Then, I don’t know - I’m finishing the trim row around the little afghan - maybe half an hour of work left on that.
But for now, I’s hongry - wonder what’s edible in here?? <off to forage>
Up. Need caffeine and pronouns.
I had a butt-pickin’ bambilance shift last night, and I get to send the day today with the fire department testing the hydrants in my district. Fun fun fun!
