Yeah, dude, I don’t think Esprix is an attention whore in any way, shape, or fashion. He and I have had our differences, but I think he’s a decent chap nonetheless, and definitely not an attention whore.

Yes, he can annoy the fuck out of me a hell of a lot of the time, and sometimes I wish he’d remember the rule about not posting his sig more than once in a given thread, but he isn’t being a jerk, and he isn’t doing anything wrong.
In other words, just chill CC, and if it really does bother you that much, there is a remedy available in your user control panel.

I mean, really - boo hoo that you don’t like my sig or you think I’m an attention whore. I’d agree with you if I kept needlessly bumping any of the ATGG threads, but putting a link to them in my sig is hardly grandstanding.
So I guess at this point I’ll wait breathlessly for you to start a thread about every other person’s sig line who has their personal welcome from Cecil, or a moderator saying something cool about them, or a link to their personal webpage, or a link to a thread they started, or any other smidgen of personal reference whatsoever, as they post their sig lines just as often as I do.
Um, first of all, as In Conceivable was kind enough to point out (and thank goodness there’s at least one other person out there who sees this), I post in a wide variety of threads, on a wide variety of subjects – some of which aren’t even about me, or even about being gay! :eek: (I know, I know – shocking!) Second of all, what do you care what “my experiences on the boards” are? Did some court somewhere appoint me a guardian I wasn’t aware of?
You’re right – no signature line anywhere adds “value” to the SDMB. Let’s do away with them entirely. You, sir, are a visionary!
And Qazzz, if you’d bother to read the OP of each and every ATGG thread (let alone actually ready any of them at all), you’ll find that not only do I never once claim to speak for the GLBT community on this board, but that many, many other GLBT posters have come in to offer their experiences and insight. But, you know, if rampant stupidity and ignorance is your schtick, go for it. :rolleyes:

And no, I have not started a thread sadly begging Cecil to acknowldge me to make my life on the boards worthwhile.
I am sorry that you feel the need to constantly have self masturbatory threads, and referenced as often as possible to make your life worth living.
And, on the few occasions where you venture outside these topics to post, you still include all of tose irellevant references in your signature. All I am saying is that perhaps, jsut perhaps, you don’t need to constantly try and jizz over every thread you post to.
I realize that this is probably little more than a “me too” post, but I fail to see where what Esprix does with his time on these boards hurts you in any way. It irritates me that you feel the need to regulate his personal activities and style. therefore, following your own example, I demand that you stop posting judgmental and insipidly stupid posts such as this. I further demand that you move into a different forum and post nothing but questions about duck farts. See that this is done immediately.
And as for the whole " Attention whore" thing, I think the man himself has said on more than one occasion that he is one. I could be wrong but I don’t think so.

Just to pick a nit, Esprix, I’m sure there’s something wrong with your sig that the mods wouldn’t like, even if you do post it only once per thread. Shouldn’t sigs be 4 lines or less? That’s one of the things that I’ve been noticing lately (sorry, no links as I don’t bother writing them down). Yours is about 6 or 7 including blank lines.
But as to your posts and your linking to the ATGG threads? I’ve got no problem, keep up the good work!
Well, I guess, but even after 8400 posts, if anyone asked, the only thing I could tell them about you off the top of my head is your sexual orientation. I’ve been able to acquire a much more complete picture of most of the other board regulars. So you may not be a completely one-trick pony, but it’s very much how you seem to define yourself here.
I suppose if you count the divider line of underscores, it’s a 5-line sig. I do realize the moderators recommend up to 4 lines. If it is unacceptable, no one has mentioned it in the several months I’ve been using it.
Quick, CuriousCanuck - click on that “report this post to a moderator” link and maybe i’ll be forced to stop using my sig altogether. Would that finally put this worrisome incident behind us?
