For me it’s maple syrup or maple flavored things. I can’t stand to be in the same room where pancakes and/or waffles are being eaten, unless I’m the one doing the eating. It doesn’t make me sick, it just really bothers me.
Also, brewed coffee.

Mustard. I didn’t even taste mustard until I was about eight, maybe, because the vinegar-y smell just made me ill.
Turkey bacon. I like it even better than regular bacon, because it’s easier to cook, much more tender, and it has more flavor. But damn, does it STINK when it’s cooking.
Chili. The kind that you make with packets. It smells like vomit and it seems to cling for days after it’s cooked.
Tastes great though.
-Garlic. My roommate cooks a lot of with it, and since we do our own meals and I don’t eat what she cooks…ew.
Most cheeses.
Milk. However, I love the smell of steamed milk (I’m a barista).
Honey.
Maple anything.
Rum.
Peanuts. I HATE smelling someone else’s peanut breath!
Durians.
Just kidding. I think they taste like vomit too.
Asparugus. I could eat it till it came out of my ears, but my God, it smells disgusting when it’s cooking.
I always thought it was described as a cross between overripe strawberries and dog shit.
But that’s exactly what my vomit tastes like!
And yet another reason to delight in my decision not to become a gastroenterologist.
Saganaki. It tastes pretty decent, not at all like the burning socks and vomit smell that accompanies it to your table.
Macaroni & Cheese.
–Cliffy
Just for an opposite one, I love the smell of bacon cooking, but I can’t stand eating the stuff.
I’m not too fond of the smell of bananas, but I could eat 'em every day.
I think nothing smells worse than boiling chicken, though chicken stock is lovely stuff.
I love shrimp, but I don’t like to smell them cooking.
Cumin. To me it smells like body odor when it’s cooking, but once the dish is served, it tastes great.
On the flip side, I love the smell of hot dogs cooking, but loathe the taste.
I can’t believe nobody has said popcorn yet!
Mangoes. I literally have to hold my nose, because they smell rotten to me. That’s what death smells like!
The smell of popcorn reminds me of mothballs. I forgot to mention peanutbutter.
What’s this thing you speak of, chili made from packets? Packets of what? Sorry, I just don’t follow.
Cheerios. I find the smell disgusting, but I’ll happily eat a bowl, although I usually go with the Frosted Flakes.
