For everyone who’s taking umbrage at the fact that some people are commenting on IDBB’s posts in her livejournal and other places, it’s because that’s where she’s responding to the posts made here.
She’s being a coward and only responding in her livejournal. That’s why people are requesting links and that’s why people seem to be getting all upset over “nothing.”
It’s not nothing, you’re just not reading her responses because she’s too much of a fucking coward to post them here.
So? You care about her opinion of you?
If “you” (in the generic sense) would simply not bother posting, she’d have nothing to respond to.
See, I figured a while back she’d only respond to sympathetic posts, but being an attention whore, still posts new threads all over again. And if they recieved zero responses, or just the sympathetic ones (maybe plus one link to a generic ‘yea, she’s at it again’) type of post) maybe she’d stop posting here.

Not to mention, the OP is about her livejournal. Or ‘blog, or whatever you want to call it. I could see being irked if things had been STARTED here and TAKEN over there…but the whole freakin’ thread is about anonymous comments in her JOURNAL.

Funny ** wring **, I’ve been advising just that tactic on another message board.
It’s a much smaller group but we still managed to end up with our very own IDBB/Hair persona.
She’s an absolute attention whore and we’ve tried everything-kindness, humor, advice, personal emails, PM’s etc.
Nothing seems to sink into her thick head.
However, after many ugly train wrecks, most of the posters of that board recognize that any attention given her is too much.
Oh, one or two will respond to a seemingly innocuous post but for the most part, a wall of silence is starting to surround her.
Doesn’t much seem to deter her from starting threads but it does help guarantee that anything she writes will rapidly disappear from view with a maximum of 3 or 4 replies.
That’s the thing though. This board is too freakin’ big for that. With something like 36,000+ members, she’s guranteed an audience, she’s bound to drag in some new suckers.
Righto ** lezlers**. I can appreciate how frustrating that would be if you actually gave a rat’s bottom (and this is not a slam at those that do).
I suspect that the new innocent posters or suckers if you prefer, that responded to her latest sniveling would rapidly began to see that her for what she really was.
If they didn’t however, a poster like you could always pop in with links to this and the 9000 pity-party fests that she’d begun with a quick statement to the effect of: This is why 99% of the current Dopers no longer bother.

I think some of the length of the thread may have come from people telling her she was a stupid, lying, attention-whore while they were giving her just the absolute best ever advice.
Also, I’m tired of seeing you bitch about her saying “the damn kid” yet it’s okay for you to say you can’t have a “FUCKING BABY.” I find the wording of that … odd at best.
Hey, I think this thread has been entertaining & not pointless, even if IDBB/Maven doesn’t get it. I’m sitting here feeling my twins kick (edd 2/12/04) and thinking about what impending motherhood means, so reading everyone’s comments on that subject has been terrific.
Plus, as lezlers pointed out, people have taken umbrage. Now how can you not love a thread in which someone takes umbrage? Really.
I’d take umbrage over a pony any day.
