Okay, so she didn’t have supermodel looks. Truly beautiful women never do.
The actress who plays Joy has a rubber face like I’ve not seen since Lucille Ball in her prime. (Lucille Ball was also a gorgeous woman, but nobody noticed because she was so busy making goofy faces.) She’s definitely found her niche in comedy. I’m not sure which character I love most on this show, but she’s definitely one of the top group!
When Earl finally did fix the wall, he plastered the paneling!!!
This episode was in the top ten.
“I’m trying to get the worms to fight.”
Don’t forget Darnell painting the turtle because the kids keep stepping on it.
There’s so many throwaway lines on this show. The writers don’t drop anvils on your head, you either laugh or you don’t, but we’re going on to the next scene regardless.
To be fair, Darnell was also plastering the paneling before Joy told him Earl was supposed to fix it and punched it again.
Funny thing is that the one role I remember Miriam Shor from, she was in full male drag .
I just loved this episode from beginning to end. I really liked the fact that everything was not resolved in quite the same way that Earl expected.

It’s because it was the little girl’s birthday. That’s why mom wanted her portrait sketched.

OMG! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I didn’t catch her name in the credits but I knew I’d seen her in something, and I even remembered it was something arthousey.
Randy is married to Juliette Lewis?
To her sister Brandy. (Geoffrey Lewis has 10 kids; Juliette sued him and his wife for emancipation when she was about 14, but I think they’ve made peace since then.)
