At 15 years old, I think I am younger than most dopers, but probably not the youngest one here. Just out of curosity, is anyone here younger than me? This is about the SDMB, but it’s also mundane and pointless. Can a mod/admin please tell me if I posted correctly?
Well, according to this thread, the yougest allowed age is 13 years, so even if there are some younger ones, they probably won’t admit it.
And this thread similarly suggests there was at least one twelve-year-old member, but that it’s the sort of thing they keep quiet.
From what I’ve seen, there are plenty of teen-aged posters on the boards. There are also plenty of twenty-something types.
I don’t think there’s a way to find out a poster’s age without asking directly, so you may have to just start a thread in the In My Humble Opinion forum polling about age.

There was a thread in the past, there were 2 13 year olds but I haven’t seen them around since. I’ll assume theres probably one or two that have signed up recently. But other than that I thinks its me. I’m fourteen for another month. So I’ll enjoy youngest doper status while it lasts.

To those who are interested, I am just fifteen, and I’m always very conscious of it when browsing the boards - everyone else has this mysterious quality of life experience…

I know exactly what you mean! Glad I’m not the only one.
I should point out that Bomb Bay Doors was allowed to join due to a special dispensation from TubaDiva. He doesn’t actively post, for obvious reasons, the biggest one being that his language skills are on par for a four-month-old (i.e. he’s just now starting consonant sounds).

I am thirteen. From what I hear, that makes me the youngest active poster.
P.S. On the Witchblade message boards over a year ago, I said I was thirteen, but I was actually twelve. I lied because I wasn’t allowed to post.
