Use your own definitions; if you consider yourself vegetarian but enjoy fish from time to time, go vegetarian. If you consider yourself Kosher but can’t pass up a bacon cheeseburger, go kosher.
As for me, I’ll eat whatever is on my plate, provided it isn’t still wiggling. Or organ meats. Or freshwater fish. Or spicier than Taco Bell medium sauce.
I’m just a fan of food in general but I’m trying to lose some weight. I keep hearing how people have great results with paleo but I refuse to be on a diet that won’t let me eat pickles.
I try to cut back on carbs as much as possible, and only drink once a week. I’m trying to lose now, so I also have very calorie-restricted days twice a week. We’ll see how long that lasts once I get to the point where I’m just trying to maintain.
Went gluten-free on the advice on my gastroenterologist in May*. I dropped 12 lbs and I feel much better. It sucked at first, but I am used to it now.
*I was tested for celiac. I was positive for antibodies, somewhere indeterminate on biopsy (#2 on the scale), not a clear cut diagnosis, no vitamin deficiencies and no anemia. Dr. said go gluten free and see if I improved, I did.
Oboy, you can put that stuff on my plate!
You can have the canned baked beans, beets, and boiled eggs, and someone else can have the food that’s hot enough to make my lips or fingers burn.
The only foods I won’t eat are: haggis, limburger cheese, kidneys, brains, and anything that can look up at me while I’m eating it. Everything else is good.
But I cut back on high-glycemic-index foods for health reasons.
