For me, it’s a toss-up between the Batusi and the Chicken Dance.

Ohmigosh, I forgot about Batusi! :p:p That is freakin’ delightful. Is that where John and Uma got their dance moves for Pulp Fiction?
I’m going with the Elaine dance. The little kicks and the thumbs out, hilarious, and practically hypnotic. I’ve tried to emulate it occasionally, but apparently I’ve got too much rhythm.

I always got a kick (heh) out of Rerun’s dancing on What’s Happening.

Looking for this, I came across a “mix tape” of several comedy characters dancing. Although in the case of Fred Sanford, that’s stretching things.
On a more “serious” note: Mary Tyler Moore dancing on the Dick Van Dyke Show.
This will be a strange answer for me, because I rarely watched the show, but …
There was a scene in one of the later seasons of Glee where the guy in the wheelchair (Marty, maybe? I’m blanking on the name) had a dream sequence in which he danced in a mall to the song “Safety Dance.” I loved that song when it first came out, and I knew just enough about the character on the show to appreciate the sequence.
Plus, it was done as a flash-mob type dance, and the guy who played Marty showed some really cool dance moves. I thought that scene was fantastic.

I saw this sketch when it first aired in the 70s, and I didn’t think it was the least bit funny.
But it’s sort of touching now.
