Your favorite five shows from the last five years

In order, what are your five favorite shows of the last five years? To qualify, it either has to be currently on the air, or the finale must have aired in the last fiver years.

For me:

1. Slow Horses: darkly funny; Gary Oldman is brilliant.

2. Mrs. Davis: themes similar to Pluribus, a woman rejects the utopia presented to her as too good to be true.

3. Reservation Dogs: really funny and sad and funny some more.

4. Succession: another dark comedy, makes Slow Horses look like a Mr. Rodgers episode in comparison.

5. The Expanse: just brilliant.

  1. The Pitt: Just superb all around. Was my first medical drama… tried to watch others after it, but nothing else comes close.
  2. Scavengers Reign: Sci-fi ecology with really interesting world-building.
  3. White Lotus: Rich people schadenfreude is always fun
  4. Russian Doll: Short but funny and well-acted
  5. Love, Death, Robots: I feel like this has taken over what Black Mirror used to be. Can’t wait for more.

  2. Peacemaker: Hyped for the start of Gunn’s DCU.
  3. Severance: IFYKYK
  4. Attack On Titan: Exceptional storytelling and strong allegory for Israel/Palestine
  5. Twisted Metal: More people need to see this, it is such dumb fun!
    HM: Ted Lasso, Fallout, Smiling Friends
