I’d forgotten about that one. Wasn’t that the story where Elaine meets a “bad breaker-upper” and dates him solely to see what he’ll do when she dumped him? IIRC, he tells Elaine that she’s got a big head, which she laughs off at first, but then she has a series of bizarre incidents concerning the size of her head - the bird hits it, a cab driver says he can’t see out the rear-view mirror and asks her to crouch down. Etc.
Another one I just thought of was the very infamous storyline in which a very engaged George dates Marisa Tomei. The fantasy moments George has about Marisa are priceless.
I would have to go with George as the Marine Biologist episode because the button of the episode is inspired. “Is it a Titleist.”
I hope the thread author takes all the nominations and makes a poll.
[Hijack]Do Jerry, George, Elaine, and Cosmo all not have any brothers or sisters? I think I have seen all the episodes and I just don’t remember any references to siblings.[/hijack]
In one episode (The Chinese Restaurant, also the only one without Kramer, IIRC) Jerry mentions a sister that is never heard of again…and I think Elaine might have mentioned a brother once, but if she did, it was the same thing, a season 1 or 2 episode with a passing reference and never brought back up. George has always been an only child.
The Hamptons. Obviously the “shrinkage” moment is funny and memorable, but the idea of Kramer poaching lobsters without realizing what he was doing was illegal always cracks me up.
George mentioned a brother in the parallel parking episode (where the guy tries to pull in nose first while George is backing up). But never mentioned again after that.
Actually, in the early episodes, George said he had a a brother. Wikipedia isn’t specific, only saying the brother was mentioned multiple times.
ETA: Just found one reference online somewhere - in the episode “The Psychic”, George says his brother impregnated a woman named Pauline.
That’s what I tell people, it’s like a rated R Seinfeld. I like how it goes back to topics that were on Seinfeld without having to tiptoe around them a bit. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
That’s also the episode where after a sleepless night with all the red light and noises Jerry says in a Kramer-esque way “Oh, I’m stressed!” Cracks me up every time.
With Steinbrenner’s death, I was reminded of the interview George gave that got him the Yankees job: George Steinbrenner: Nice to meet you. George Costanza: Well, I wish I could say the same, but I must say, with all due respect, I find it very hard to see the logic behind some of the moves you have made with this fine organization. In the past twenty years, you have caused myself, and the city of New York, a good deal of distress as we have watched you take our beloved Yankees and reduced them to a laughing stock, all for the glorification of your massive ego. George Steinbrenner: Hire this man!
