Kramer vs. Kramer. I don’t know how it got nominated, but it was. Anyway, it seemed to me to be the weakest of all the Best Picture nominees that year (1979).

LF comic strip

LF stretch of road
Any of the industrial-wasteland stretches in Joisey.
LF airline flight you’ve ever taken?
A commuted flight from LAX to San Luis Obispo. The drive from burbank to LAX took 90 min. Getting to the stupid remote commuter terminal took another hour. 45 min on the tarmac taxiing. 45 min flight. 30 min to get my bag. 30 min to rent a car. I could have just driven there in my own car in probably less time.
LF other person’s phobia you have to deal with regularly
Probably the whole spider thing. I love the little guys. They eat mosquitoes. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
LF sportscaster, past or present?
Howard Cosell - more of a love/hate thing. He was such a pretentious blowhard, but also fun to hate and a perfect foil for Dandy Don Meredith on Monday Nights.
LF smile you’ve seen on somebody
Just previewed–beaten by Knowed Out. Well, for what it’s worth, here’s my least favorite sportscaster anyway:
Dennis Miller. One season as a commentator on Monday Night Football. I like Miller’s comedy, and I like football on TV, but Miller and football did not mix well.
Let’s go with Knowed Out’s prompt:
LF smile you’ve seen on somebody.
