the Allman Brothers
HomeSlice tells me,
Alackaday! Forsooth, 'tis I who am too old!
Actually, maybe not. It’s more likely that I’m just pretentious enough to pride myself in an esoteric musical taste, including some stuff that I’m too young for.
Tom Waits: Still cranking out music ahead of his time.
The Damned: The best first-wave punk rock band.
Yeah Yeah Noh: Obscure (in the US) early 80s new wave.
Railroad Jerk: Late 90s rock ‘n’ roll.
Spaceman 3: Late 80s drone-fuzz.
Mr. Quintron: Way cool New Orleans rock ‘n’ roll organist.
And did I mention the Stooges? The godfathers of punk rock?
tool.
led zeppelin.
The Pogues
The Clash
Led Zeppelin
Jonathon Richman and the Modern Lovers
Rage Against The Machine. I know you all think that they are flaming hypocrite slumbag idiots who don’t deserve to breathe, but I like them. Besides, what other band has a Harvard-educated guitarist(Tom Morello)?
The Tragically Hip.
Great band with wonderfull, lyrics.
Counting Crows.
Dammit. Someday, somebody here is going to agree with me.
The Beatles
DMB
Jah Works (a local reggae band)
KISS!!! Greatest rock band of all time!! Too bad they’re hanging it up…
CandyMan - Oh wait, that’s MY band…
ReserviorDog, Counting Crows is pretty good, but I’m going to have to go with Five-Eight.
Mine would be Sawyer Brown.
Electric Light Orchestra
Beatles
ABBA (HEY, I can hear you snickering…)
Blondie (up to “Eat to the Beat”)
Elton John (in the 70’s)
Pink Floyd
Led Zeppelin
Pearl Jam
Peter Gabriel (I know he is not a band, but whatever)
Faith No More
Guns N’ Roses
The Who
If you were to make me choose just one, it would be FNM.
Definitely the ** Eagles **. Don Henley is on my laminated list. The rest are really fine musicians, though whoever told Joe Walsh he could sing should be taken out and scourged. They sound as good live as they do in the studio. And did I tell you that Don Henley makes me swoon?
** Journey **,for supplying me with background music for my jr. high and high school make-out sessions. (I know, I know, I’m aging myself here.)
** Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band ** for putting 100% into every show. ** The Beatles ** are awesome. **The Police ** ere good, too.
Two-way tie:
Rush (I know, Coldy…BIG surprise.)
Dave Matthews Band
My favorites:
Hepcat
Crass
Subhumans
Siouxie & the Banshees

Led Zeppelin (hope I spelled it right)
The Who
The Grateful Dead

The Rolling Stones
A tie here:

The Clash.
