Your MOST Favorite band! (rock on!)

of the Dave Matthews Band (July 8, Foxboro Stadium, here I come!).

Journey
Rush
Alice Cooper
Sammy’s Van Halen (Dave’s okay, Gary bites.)
Joe Satriani or Yngwie Malmsteen
Boston (later, and don’t snicker!)

yeah, I’ve got a strange MP3 collection

I’d probably go with someone more like matchbox twenty. Maybe Tonic.

R.E.M. is the only one for me.

The best bands by decade:

1950s - Buddy Holly and the Crickets
1960s - Cream
1970s - Queen
1980s - (tie) R. E. M. and Prince & the Revolution
1990s - Nirvana
2000s - so far Limp Bizkit

Hole

A tie here, too:

The Band
Little Feat

Best show I’ve seen in my life!!!

  1. Tool

and in no particular order:
Pearl Jam
Talking Heads
Los Lobos

Homeslice and Proudest Monkey - July 18, RFK Stadium, here I come! My 7th or 8th DMB show!

I have a lot of favorite bands, and I haven’t put the mental effort to figure out which is my single-most favorite. Right now, they consist of The Vandals, Suicide Machines, Operation Ivy, Violent Femmes, Matchbox 20, The Offspring, The Clash…I guess those are all my favs.

Number 1: Violent Femmes
Close runners up:
Led Zeppelin
The Doors
Buddy Holly and the Crickits
The Jimi Hendrix Experience

Solo Artists:
Bob Dylan
Michael Jackson

Guns N’ Roses

runners up:

Led Zeppelin
Rolling Stones
Black Crowes

In no particular order… (Oh man… I can hear them all snear)

Queen
Aerosmith
Metallica
Pink Floyd

I would have posted a least favorite song… but I tend not to dislike songs, (unless sung by rap artists). <shrug> I don’t know why

Pink Floyd. No contest. I have close to 30 different Floyd CDs. I’m nuts.

how can i pick one??? ummmm…DMB, Pink Floyd, Phish, Led Zep, but the number one of all time??? Grateful Dead, hands down

Try Bad Religion.

Singer Greg Gaffin has Bachelors degree in Anthropology, Master of Science degree in Geology from UCLA and is working on a PhD in Zoology at Cornell.

1 The Doors

then maybe Floyd or Zeppelin

One of the greatest geniuses and another of my favorites

has to be Frank Zappa
how can you not like Zappa

R.E.M.

Replacements
Ramones
U2 (Joshua Tree and earlier)
Duran Duran (for some reason I keep coming back to them - since 1982)
Lemonheads
Misfits
Minor Threat
Primitives

I think this reveals a lack of focus on my part.
Some of the stuff in my music collection leaves
even me wondering “What is she THINKing?!?”
