Hate to be unoriginal, but “Space Oddity”. I’ve come to appreciate this song and it’s place in history more and more. Originally a critique of the underdeveloped UK space program release a few days before Apollo 11, it has grown to be a celebration of humanity’s yen to slip the surly bonds of Earth.
Most Favorite David Bowie song - besides “Space Oddity”?
Fame. But I enjoy most of his work.

White Rabbit. When I was younger, I thought he said “I’m late for a very unimportant date.” I loved it. I saw it as the farce of the rat race as nothing is important. a little Dadaish.

I worked in a seismic equipment factory. Somehow, no idea why, I was selected to learn a specific skill: operating an injection molding machine. This somehow put me above Chris, RJ, Bobbie-Jo, Brent, Bobby, and the rest of the crew, in the eyes of management. The job really wasn’t anything special, except that all of the above were not allowed to go anywhere near the injection molding machines that I operated. Outlines painted on the floor deliniated where they could not go, but I could.
Honestly, however, I didn’t like to be put above the rest of the crew. We all worked hard, and as far as I am concerned, we all deserved equal credit. We built the best damn seismic equipment as a team.
