I think I understand what you mean. The answer is probably “John Fogerty,” (albeit, Debbie Harry is a very close second, but I’m giving the edge to JF for being a singer/songwriter) because CCR isn’t called “The John Fogerty Band,” but maybe it’s not what you mean-- maybe you are referring to someone obscure, or only well-known in specialized circles, in which case the answer is Gretchen Phillips of 2 Nice Girls (which was a 4 member band).
