Well I’m reading it because it shows how we all feel related in the vast network of humanity, and that common experience and travail allow us to see, however briefly, how deeply our common roots in humankind run.
I’m reading it for the pus.
I had one implode once - on the back of my arm - squeezed it, felt it go but nothing came out - it just deflated.
I think it’s lurking and going to come out centre forehead or tip of nose someday.
Could have been a sebaceous cyst. I occasionally get one just above my left pit and another in my right.
I just pulled a massive blackhead out of the motherlode pore on my husband’s back. It’s this distended crater that periodically fills up with crud and I have to really dig in with needle, tweezers, and bobby pin to get it out. This thing was at least half an inch long and thicker than a pencil lead, it was amazing. I should have taken a picture.
Bolding mine.
::Shudder::
If that’s what true love is, I want no part of it.
I once popped an underarm cyst that had a terribly ingrown hair as the core. At first, I thought the dark, hard lump was some kind of old, calcified pus. As I squeezed the core, it unwrapped several times until I ended up with a hair that had to have been about 3 inches long. It took about three squeezes to expel everything. But I haven’t had a recurrence in about 5 years.
