Well, this is kind of interesting. This English guy keeps trying to walk the entire length of Britain, while naked (aside from shoes and sunscreen).
And the British cops keep arresting him.
And then they keep letting him GO. Apparently, English laws on public nudity are somewhat more reasonable than American ones – you apparently have to be actively BOTHERING someone before you’re really prosecutable.
I kind of admire that. A law that says you can be as naked as you want, unless you choose to actively go up and bug someone with your nakedness. In short, if I walk down your street naked, YOU have to prove I’m doing it to bother YOU.
I suppose if I did it back and forth all day, though, that would be considerably easier to prove.
Of course, that leaves the question of WHY some guy wants to walk the entire length of Britain while nude. Hell, I wouldn’t want to do it while DRESSED. What’s this guy trying to prove?

I’m currently debating the wisdom of going outside to hang up some washing whilst wearing nothing but a t-shirt. It is still a bit chilly out though so I might put on pants to keep my legs warm.
No, no, no, Superstar. In America, we have STREAKERS. Similar beast, but the Fleetfooted Streaker is considerably faster, seen only in short bursts, and a much harder target for its natural predators, the Beat Cop, the Network Cameraman, and the Expensive-Running-Shoe-Footed Mugger.
The Nude Walker is a species which, as far as I know, is found in the wild only in Britain, due to the lack of natural predators, although they can be found in fenced reservations in the US.

At some time while I was living in California (1987-1995), there was a guy at a local university (Berkeley, I believe) going around naked. He went to classes naked. I never saw the guy, but I saw censored photos of him, and he was a nice looking guy with a great body. I’ve always wondered what happened to “Naked Guy”. What career does a naked guy pursue?
In the link provided by the OP, there is a photo labelled “APF/File Photo”. What is the APF and why do they have this photo on file? Why are there two naked people in it? Is one of them the Naked Walker, or is it simply a photo of a couple of naked people, in case we don’t know what a naked person looks like?
The photo in the OP link aren’t of the person doing the walk. He was featured in the paper here a few weeks back, and was definately a distinct individual. Not only was he walking Britain naked, but he also had half a beard. Yes half a beard. The left side of his face was a full length very long beard with sideburns and all, the right completely and smoothly shaven.
His purpose is to try and challenge the perception that nudity is somehow inherently wrong. He doesnt seem to be succeeding though.
