Sometime during my highschool years, sophomore or junior, I decided that Beck’s “Mutherfuker” should be my theme song. As in, “Everybody’s out to get you, mutherfuker.” Made me laugh.
I don’t have a theme song at the moment.

Oh let’s see, my theme songs?
Freestylers by Bomfunk MC’s
Out of my head by Fastball
Self Esteem by the Offspring
and ESPECIALLY the Overture from Tommy by the Who!!!
-nut-
Shaft!!
you’re daaaammmn right…
Sometimes when I walk into a crowded room, I hear the following lyrics float through my head
Whoa-oh, here she comes…
watch out boy, she’ll chew you up
Whoa-oh, here she comes…
she’s a Maneater
I’d have Cortina by Red Snapper play every time I entered a room (official audio sample here). Either that, or Propellerheads’ version of On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. I don’t think I’m quite cool enough for MC Solaar’s Nouveau Western yet.
Room Entrance-Smoke on the Water, by Deep Purple
Triumphant-Joy to the World, by Three Dog Night.
Reflection-Turn the Page, by Seger. Got it playing now, in fact.
But, personal favorite, has to be American Pie. Oh hell yeah.
Before psycat moved out here, I always had this lyric in my head, from TMBG’s Ana Ng:
They don’t need me here, and I know you’re there,
Where the world goes by like the humid air.
Lately, my theme music has been Spiralling Shape, also by TMBG, not neccesarily because of it’s meaning, but more the feeling I get from the sound of it.
If I’m driving and pissed I usually try to get into Weezer’s Surf Wax America or Holiday.
If I’m a little lit or rambunctious, it’s anything by Green Day or Blink 182. Usually Welcome to Paradise or Dammit, respectively.
If I’m sad or depressed, something somber/melancholy by Springsteen or Pink Floyd. Maybe Shut Out the Light or Welcome to the Machine, respectively.
I like John Denver. Take Me Home Country Road.
After long and hard thought, I’d have to say “Puzzling Evidence” from the soundtrack to ‘True Stories’ by the Talking Heads.
Damn, y’all, let’s get some classical music in this joint!
Standard Entrance - the first four bars of Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in d, BWV 565.
Triumphant Entrance - Beethoven’s An die Freude from his Ninth Symphony. C’mon, who the hell wouldn’t sit up and take notice, you come in the room with that?!
Depressed entrance - Lachrimosa from Mozart’s Requiem.
and for looking in the mirror? The Olympic theme music. Yeah, that’s it. Puff out yer chest and stand tall. Yer an athlete and you got it goin’ on, too.
…and for screwing up UBB code for the umpteenth time, let’s play a little Three Stooges.
I love that song! Except my favorite part is when it goes “Paranoia, paranoia, everybody’s coming to get me.” That part would be better for me.
But my theme music, Smile by Vitamin C. That or Don’t Worry Be Happy.
My theme music would be something like Dido’s “No Angel” or perhaps Concrete Blond’s “Blood Letting”. Dark & moody but enjoyable none the less.
