Your top three "bring the show back" (+ Explanation as to why)

I’m against bringing Firefly back for the reasons already mentioned. That ship has sailed long ago. Ditto Babylon 5; although I’d like to know what happened with the thing in the jar and why Sheridan and Delenn were on Centauri Prime, they’re all too old (and in some cases too dead) to make this work, and Crusade’s poor quality really poisoned the post-B5 narrative too much to resurrect it easily.

I wouldn’t mind one more season of Reaper, just to find out what the hell God’s Big Plan was as alluded to in the last episode.

The Clone Wars

I’d like it to be given one or two more seasons, right at the point the show was becoming VERY interesting(Wilhelm Tarkin the future grand Moff was becoming a major character, they seemed liked they were going to explain the rift between the clones and jedi that lead to order 66) Disney went and pulled the plug. There are supposedly whole episodes already in the can that we may never see.:frowning:

As a old school Star Wars fan I enjoyed this show far more than the prequel trilogy, and I’d appreciate it if the creators could finish it.

I’m going to change the rules a little bit here and say instead of bringing the show back now we retroactively give it another season then.

My choices.

Enterprise. (Because, unlike the other franchise entries, it was getting better.)
Quantum Leap (Because the leaps were going to get harder.)

And this one is going back a long ways:

The Invaders. (Because you had a progression there. The first season David alone believed. The second he had help. The second season ended with a Justice department official convinced. I would have liked to have seen what they would have done with a third.)

The A-Team - the characters were fantastic and where else can you see such epic gun battles where no one gets shot

Leave it to Beaver - I think we could all use a little more Ward and June in our lives.

Small Wonder - I really think it was before it’s time.

Okay, here are mine.

1 - Strange Luck - An awesome idea and well written. Personally, I think the writing was ahead of its time because there are aspects of this show in many shows today.
2 - Kindred - Another FOX canceled show. Besides the fact that I think they could make some good political commentary, it’s can also be about monsters and many other things.
3 - Dr Who - Again, the FOX movie and if it did well enough a TV show. I was very leery of a Americanized version but I have really enjoyed Elementary AND Sherlock and see how both can exist. So, I think it would be really cool to see that contrast again between the versions.

Boy, FOX has really pissed me off throughout the years!

Honorable mentions. I would love Firefly, even if it was only limited episodes per season to get the cast back together. I do assume we would see more Chinese characters. However, the big category for me is “fix what they had setup.” So, Lost, BSG, X-Files, Enterprise (in a start with fourth season way), and probably more.

Finally Bab5. I have rewatched it several times in the past five years and it’s still good to me, even if dated. But since I watched it during the original run, I do have nostalgia as well. However, while JMS was still able to tell his story (and I have read more about what he originally had planned and what happened), I want to put this in a “get the full run commitment” so they know what they have. Would Sheriden have come in with that? Would season four and five be the same?

So, I don’t want them exactly back as they were but want to see what happens in those universes.

Tarkin’s first name was Bill? Who knew!

Yeah, that’s kinda why it got cancelled. It’s worth watching, though they’ve never bothered to release it on DVD. :frowning: Can still buy it as instant video from Amazon or iTunes, though.

For all the Rome love (and I loved it too), it’s hard to see where it would’ve went from there. You’re going into the Pax Augusta, which is long enough that we couldn’t really have Vorenus and Pullo as our protagonists any more by the time things started getting interesting again. It ended at a very natural point, so I’m pretty much OK with it.

Also, check out Netflix.

This. Sooooo this.

Star Trek. Does Sisko ever come back? By now his kid should be 12 or 13. Does Riker still captain the Titan? There’s a lot of questions that could be answered. I’d prefer a new ship and crew, but I’d like hints to what has gone on since.

Pushing Daisies and its sibling Wonderfalls. I’d like to see both given new life (so to speak). Wonderfalls fell victim to Fox’s absolutely idiotic programming decisions and Pushing Daisies had its momentum cut out from under it by the writers’ strike. Both deserve another chance.

You do realize a new series, or at least a new pilot, are in production? Star Trek: Renegade is slated for early next year. It’s set for ten years after the return of Voyager from the Delta Quadrant, with Commander Tuvok and… get this… Admiral Pavel Chekov. Rest of the cast - which appears to be staffing a Firefly/pirate/privateer Starfleet ship - is new.

Star Trek is a show that has to be low on the list for needing to be brought back. It’s had plenty of comebacks, and more in the works.

I really enjoyed the first half of the one season of Wonderfalls, but I thought it turned into kind of a dull mess by the end. Not sure where they could have taken the show if they continued.

Samurai Jack!

I really enjoyed the animation and storytelling, but we never find out if Jack makes it back to his own time and defeats Aku.

Heroes. It lost its stride in the second season for a lot of people and was just getting its feet back under it when it was axed.
Cupid- the original, not the reboot. Just a brilliant show all around, with super smart references and excellent acting and writing.
Firefly- don’t care if it’ll mess up other careers. This is fantasy, right? In my fantasy the other careers are just fine, too. It could be set before Serenity, so still get Wash and Book.
If Firefly is disallowed, I’ll take fixing the last season of Lost.

That’s good news.

  1. Arrested Development (I know it’s coming back on Netflix, but it should come back FOREVER)
  2. Firefly
  3. Terriers
  4. The Simpsons, first 10-seasons style, not this junk they’ve been airing for the past 12 years.

I think you’re being rather generous in your characterization of Heroes. :stuck_out_tongue:

Very, very generous.

And Firefly before Serenity wouldn’t have Book, Simon or River.

There hasn’t been many shows I’ve watched and still been enthralled up until the end. Married with Children was a great show, loved 80% of it, but by the last season or two, I only sporadically watched it and it wasn’t exciting to me anymore. Other shows like House I’ve enjoyed but thought they ended well enough that it didn’t really need to be brought back

However, I loved Malcolm in the Middle, it was a crazy hilarious show. When it ended, I thought that I had never wanted to know what happens after a show to the characters more than that one. Lots of things were upended but not in a totally unrealistic way. Malcolm goes to Harvard, his mom says he can be president, Reese gains stability by becoming janitor at his school. I forgot what happened to Francis though. Anyways, I would love to see a follow up reunion show set like 10 years later to see what happened.

Another show, just because I love it, that I’d want to see back is Seinfeld. It didn’t lose any of the wackiness at all. And yeah, Curb is kind of a continuation, and they did have that season 2 years ago where the plot was about a Seinfeld reunion, but its not enough! I want to see the I-Toilet app! I want to see Jerry and Kramer get into hijinks with cell phones and the internet! So many things could have happened! Kramer could have been a Youtube star with a series of increasingly demented videos. George could use Google Earth to stalk women who dumped him but wouldn’t tell him why. Elaine and David Puddy get into miscommunications with autocorrect on the I-Phone! Jerry dates women who will only do dirty things with him over instant message! Newman gets a Facebook page and its just all about trolling Jerry. Bob Sacamano sells a kidney on ebay to pay for his liver transplant!
