Even if he’s not the father he’s revealed a few unattractive things about his character. He’s 30, not 17. You’d expect him to want to find out if he’s the father and then decide what his responsibilities from there.
This is true; my kids are adept at hellishness, but I still think they’re wonderful.

I think it’s his overall attitude that’s the problem. Whether or not he’s actually the father is of little consequence. One can assume from his behavior thus far that even if he is the father, he’s going to take very little responsibility for the lives he irresponsibly helped create.
So where do you draw the line? I absolutely think we have to apply *some *level of judgement to how the people who we choose to associate with, behave. If a person is nice to you, but treats other people like disposable Kleenex is that really of no concern to you?

He sounds like a psychopath, or at least a narcissist. I would advise her to think seriously about whether having his money is worth being forced to allow him into her children’s lives. IMO she’s making a big mistake. This is NOT Ward Cleaver and his attitude shows that he will not be a good father.
She should let him wander off to his cave, and be thankful to be quit of him.

What do you care about how other people feel about pregnancies? I also consider it similar to a disease, and a fetus a parasite that I want no part of. It irks me when people act like babies and pregnancy are some kind of exalted, holy things.
I agree that any child support this guy might be forced to pay might not be worth having to deal with someone who is so obviously a complete asshole, but on the other hand, she could be quite far into the attitude of sticking it to a complete asshole, and I can get behind that attitude, too. Did you know that unpaid child support will come out of every government cheque he ever gets, including his old age pension? Heh.
