Zelda: Twilight Princess GameCube availability?

Anyone have any idea when the GameCube version of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess will be generally available? Amazon hasn’t had any stock since even before the release date two weeks ago. I’m not about to pay $70+ on eBay for a copy (even paying MSRP for video games makes me feel like a chump). I thought I could avoid this kind of craziness by staying away from the newest-gen consoles-- guess not.

I emailed Amazon.com about this.

They did get copies, but they all went to the immense number of preorders. They will have my shipment by February 14th and they upgraded to Next Day Air for free in my case.

I’m not complaining; I figure I -might- finish FFXII by then. Damn adulthood.

Well that’s good to know, thanks. Amazon is my preferred place to shop but if it’s certain that they won’t have any copies to sell until at least February, I’ll focus my efforts elsewhere.

My wife got one for our son for x-mas - regular price.
The local store said all its copies were pre-ordered, but that folks needed to pick them up by a certain date. When my wife called up 1st thing in the a.m. the following day, they had one copy someone hadn’t picked up.
(And my kid has been playing the damn thing near non-stop since Monday!)
Just mentioning, it may be worth a shot.

I pre-ordered a copy for my daughter, it didn’t come in and was out of stock when I looked at the site. I ran to the mall and managed to find her a copy before Christmas. The one I pre-ordered came in yesterday. If you want it e-mail me and we’ll work something out.

Thanks, but now that I think about it, it probably wouldn’t be such a bad idea to just wait on it. It’ll give me some time to play through Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin and Final Fantasy III for DS, which I did get for Christmas.

Wow – I had no idea it was so scarce. My wife got me one for Christmas, and when I was in Target today I saw a bunch more of 'em on the shelf.

My youngest is playing the gamecube version of it right now.

From what I’ve heard from friends that work at EB Games, each store was given about ten copies or so. Your best bet is to hit up places like Best Buy, Target, Circuit City, etc. I’ve had no problems finding it in those places.
