Five are mine: Donoma (paladin), Jabloo (hunter) Quixil (priest), Dugramm (rogue), and Xioahui (mage). I used to have more in the guild, but I did some housecleaning last year on all of my servers and just deleted a bunch of toons I wasn’t playing.
And during the last two nights of just running leveling quests…I have already got two JC rare designs:
Design: Agile Primal Diamond
Design: Enigmatic Primal Diamond
It shows very low droprates for each one…either I am very lucky, or their rates are off by a multiple of 10 or 1000.
6 for me: Moobird, Lightbird, Strongbird, Healingbird, Greenbird, & Lockbird
All of varying levels.
Of course my main is still Rottingbird but not in the guild anymore (but still in his heart!)
Sounds good to me. Promotions (including GM) work on characters that are offline.
I wanna start doing these. Kicking Anzu’s ass 8 times a day is getting old. I should probably start working on leveling up instead of kicking Anzu’s ass 8 times a day and pet battles.
283 characters, 110 accounts. 7 of the 283 are mine.
Just /who burning dog and hit one of us up!
Drop rates for profession-only items are usually unnaturally low. Since the mods feeding data to wowhead don’t distinguish between the ‘didn’t drop’ case and the ‘drop isn’t visible due to the toon not having the correct profession’ case.
Well, back in Cataclysm, I only found one rare design during the whole time Cata was running, and ended up buying 3 other rare designs. And here I am questing for 2 days in MoP, and I get two rare designs already…I’m stoked (because I am a JC), but I am scratching my head at the same time. I can’t even learn them yet because I’m still looking for the more common designs to level up with so I can learn those rares later.
Turns out Doggiebanker had 120k…I don’t remember sending the other 20k out earlier (but I probably might have mentioned doing so somewhere in that big ass Cata thread). I did send 100k to the guild bank last night, which leaves about 19,500g left in reserves.
And Yeticalayla got her third rare JC design dropped while shooting fireworks off at the Alliance helicopters…go figure.
So I did some searching, and it looks like Kalathan and Yeti can take over for an absentee guild leader at any time by going to the Guild tab and finding some button or other. So if one of you does that we can get the ball rolling.
Ok…am I (or Kal) going to /gleader Lingyao or Moobird or both?
I’m not picky. I’ve seen Lingyao on more often, though (might just be the time of day I play). I just want someone to change the rank permissions so that I can change my character notes. I just noticed that Jabloo’s note indicates he’s Keliraeda’s alt; Keliraeda the blood elf became Donoma the tauren more than a year ago, so I’d like to fix that, as well as adding “Mister Rik @ SDMB” to my newer alts. Though I’ll have to look to see if Quixil, Dugramm, and Xioahui have been promoted to Legionnaire. I’m not really concerned about GB access.
On another note, regarding the 283 characters in the guild … I was looking at the “Guild Status (weekly)” thing, and discovered that only 23 different characters had earned any guild XP (i.e. actually been played) for the week. The other 260 were all “0” (zero), which tells me none of them have been played at all (and likely not logged on at all recently). Four or five of those 23 are mine, and I know a few of the rest are the same people playing their alts, so at the moment it looks like we really don’t have many active players.
I’ll keep an eye out for you too Rik.
Yeti logged on while I was on last night and promoted me to GM. After a furious bit of menu clicking and rank promotion/demotion spam, everything is more or less set. There is a new feature of the guild interface that allows you to restrict ranks to authenticator only, so all ranks about Legionnaire have that. Unfortunately it’s a bit buggy and not recognizing Jarr’s authenticator.
If anybody here is a Legionnaire, rightly or wrongly, and you need something from the GBank (i.e. an extra stack, more gold) for something important that your rank doesn’t allow ask a higher ranked member, I have no problems with it as long as you’re not withdrawing 3k gold and taking 80 stacks out of the bank on a regular basis. I don’t think anyone else cares that much either, I mean, the GBank only rarely gets withdraw activity. I think the current limits are 200g and 10 stacks. You can ginvite, and edit public notes.
Corehound has all the privs of Legionnaire, but can gpromote to Legionnaire too (technically Legionnaire has gpromote privs, but they’re useless since you can’t promote up to your rank). Bank privs are something ridiculous like 5k gold and 20 stacks. Again, if you need it (say you’re leveling Engineering or something), withdraw it. Just don’t actually withdraw 5k gold every day. Probably also post in this thread that you did it, but it’s not really a big deal.
Flamelord is identical to Corehound for bank privs, but basically have full privs – they can do officer chat, set Guild Info and MOTD etc. Vaultmaster is the same as Flamelord IIRC, but the stack withdraw limit per tab and gold withdraw are the max I can make them.
Don’t really recall what I did with Ember Puppy I think it’s the same it was before, bank-wise, but with added Invite privs and Grepair enabled.
I only bothered promoting people who have been on in the last month, this was to save my sanity, more than anything. If you’re not promoted, no worries, have someone promote you once you’re on (assuming a Core Hound or above is on).
Woot! I got into a Sha of Anger group yesterday while leveling in Kun Lai Summit. But since i was only 88, I didn’t help much. But still, one dead sha later I got myself a pair of tier 14 gloves! Going to have to try and get into one of those/week/character. And only one more level to o and I’m still in Kun Lai Summit. I should move on to the Steppes at least.
Of the three toons I’m leveling through Pandaria, two of them hit level 88 while still in Krasarang, and the third will probably do likewise. Actually, Donoma just dinged 89 while still in Krasarang, but she has the benefit of the guild XP perks, while my rogue on Wyrmrest Accord is unguilded. My nelf hunter is in Quasi’s guild on Alexstrasza, and I think we have at least the first XP perk there.
CRZ amusement: Donoma was getting ready to hit the DMF when I got a whisper from somebody asking me to make a new tauren and sign a guild charter. Since they asked me to make a new tauren I assume they must have seen that Donoma was already in a guild. But they didn’t notice she was on a different server - the request came from somebody on Lightbringer. So I pointed it out, and they asked if I could go there and roll a tauren. Unfortunately for them, I had to explain that Lightbringer is my main Alliance server, and I’ve filled up all of my character slots there.
I’m really hoping they add more transmog gear to the DMF soon. The two paladin sets were clearly not designed with tauren in mind, and they look really ridiculous on a female tauren. Maybe they look better on a male.
I dinged 90 last week! yay for my Dynamic Duo. I’ve been on trying to run heroics looking for gear, but I do see a handful of doggies on at the same time. Does anyone want to start running things? Scenarios for example? Only need 3 for scenarios!
If I’m on when you’re on, I’d love to run scenarios with a fellow Doggie.
I’m enjoying the scenarios much more than heroics, they’re faster, you don’t have to wait hardly at all to get into a group, and they seem to suffer less from the “You must know absolutely what you’re doing or you’ll screw the pooch for the group” syndrome.
Although to be fair, the Pandaria heroics that I have run haven’t seemed that difficult.
I’m only 87 and still running in Cata raid gear, but with the Spear of Xuen…not sure if I am of any help atm.
Donoma is almost to 90 — about 75% on the XP bar when I logged out last night, so I’ll probably be up for something when I have the time. I’m actually interested in running dungeons this expansion, something I didn’t want to do at all in Cata. And this expansion I’m not leveling both of my ret pallies in parallel like I’ve done in the past, so Donoma is getting all my plate + 2-hander love right now.
I set foot in exactly one Cata dungeon and didn’t have a great time. It was a BDL guild run through heroic ToT, and I was trying to tank it without being really comfortable with Prot spec and basically having no idea what I was doing (seriously, that was the first time I’d ever tanked anything). And then the final fight bugged on me, and I didn’t grow to gigantic proportions along with everybody else, which made tanking the monster kinda tough…
At least it was with guildies and not a LFD group. Everybody was nice about it
Lately I’ve been working on rearranging my keybinds for my primary paladin abilities, trying to find a more efficient layout. So at the moment I’m still committing a lot of finger fumbles. I’ve had Crusader Strike on the “7” key for so long that moving it is creating quite a muscle memory problem.
Mister Rik, I don’t know if you noticed ( I didn’t for quite a while), but Retribution paladins have access to the Hammer of Righteous ability - which previously was only available in Protection Spec.
It doesn’t do nearly as much damage as Crusader Strike, of course, but since it hits everything within a certain radius, it’s great (when combined with Divine Storm) for fighting bunches of mobs.
I only mention it because you mentioned rearranging keybinds, and I had to do the same thing to make room for it on my action bars once I discovered it was available.
I tend to use Retribution FCFS helper add-on, and take the most used buttons from the rotation and cluster those on my bar…and yes, I still use the mouse to do my attacks while qweasd for my movement. Bad habits die hard in my family.
