Best of the Rest of the Top 40: The 2010s (So Far)

Time to finish out the semi-finals of this tourney. The decade’s not over yet (though trust me, you’ll freak when you see who topped the charts in 2018), and the 2014 poll is currently tied with two songs at 8 votes each, so we have six songs in this poll.

What’s your favorite?

In the best-of-the-year polls, “Get Lucky” was the only one of these songs to be highest-rated in the world-famous Ponch8 Music Rating System. However, in a shocking upset, I’m picking “Team” over “Get Lucky.”

The boring songs “Lights” and “Chandelier” tie for dead-ass last. Ellie Goulding has far better songs than “Lights,” whereas I’ve never gotten the appeal of Sia.

Was a toss-up for me between Cee-Lo and Gaga.

When in doubt go with Gaga, that’s what I always say.

Ellie Goulding stands above the rest on this list. Gaga would be runner up and perhaps Cee Lo Green takes bronze.

Cee-Lo for the top spot for me, with Daft Punk number two, and Gaga third.

A pretty good decade so far. There are three songs that I really like here, something that hasn’t happened since the 80s poll:

Ellie Goulding - Lights wins. The chorus is one of the catchiest I’ve heard in years, extremely uplifting. Sia’s Chandelier is not far behind with Get Lucky a bit further.
