-1 to -10 Hit Points(the De'endee Mafia Forbidden Thread)

I don’t want to speculate on why you feel that way, and remember this is the UN-spoilered thread and I’m still trying to solve the game.

Shhhh now, enjoy the humiliation I put myself through trying to find your team. Red Skeezix is still awesome, and I owe you and him in kind the next time I’m scum.

*But I **already **did the votes, Stanislaus! *

Maybe folks really *were *just skipping everything I posted. Jeebus.

Next time I’m just going to communicate using semaphore.

Not feeling very enthusiastic about this lynch right now.

That was too easy. As predicted, Weedy didn’t say much, and most of the people who are not strongly townie in my view kept their heads down.

sigh

I’m so not surprised.

I don’t know how to solve this game, either, even if I was still in it. Literally everybody looks like potential scum to me.

I think we’re gonna lose. cry

I think we’ll lose too… Sorry I wasn’t much help, I’ve been too busy with all my tests, and now vacation to help town. Sorry I wasn’t more help! Sorry for lynching shadow instead of red… Shows what happens when distracted while playing mafia.

Thank you astral for the modkill, when I saw the spoilers, I was worried ped would win without playing!

He has now quite officially lost.

I’m sorry you’re frustrated, Normal. I think you played hard, and it was fun watching you work your way through the game. It’s gonna be a lot quieter with you dead now.

Edit: Also, did you want spoilers?

Mmm… very good posts, choie. I like this.

You have done well, my young apprentice.

But, can you figure out which of these is scum from this analysis? That vote analysis just makes Weedy look terrible to me.

D1- voted a townie, no vote movement, no scums under threat.
D2- voted three townies, two of which put septimus under threat.
D3- septimus under serious pressure, doesn’t vote septimus. Locked TexCat to save.
D4- Wanted to bus red Skeezix, settled for bussing septimus when it was too late to matter.
D5- Voted ShadowFacts over Red Skeezix.
D6- No real discussion, busses Red Skeezix.
D7- No scums under threat most likely. Votes Hirka. No movement.

Weedy reacts strongly whenever Red or septimus are under pressure, otherwise votes townies and doesn’t move.

FOS: Weedy.

Weedy is the one I missed, if choie and Diver are innocent. I’m almost sure.

Otherwise I stunk up this game pretty badly.

Also, why else am I haunting you, choie?

I resisted the urge to peek under your skirt, you know.

Putting on one hell of an Askthepizzaguy-twin performance tonight.

Maybe we clashed because we were too alike.

@2629

I agree on gnarlycharlie at this point. If not choie/Diver, then likely Weedy/Gnarly.

Mentalguy could switch out for either one if one flips townie.

  1. FOS weedy
  2. FOS gnarly
  3. small fos MentalGuy

I still think it’s Mental Guy; my death just makes that more likely – remember Kage and CR killing me and Beefy a couple nights prior to the end of Mafia X and getting away with it? If a townie like me is on the wrong track and overwhelmingly likely to push a mislynch, you generally let them do it. You kill them when they’re right.

At least I hope so. I’m so embarrassed about this game. I know exactly how and why ShadowFacts managed to get in my crosshairs (and more importantly, stay there), but still.

Now that we’re friends again :p, let’s discuss this. One of the things that really surprised (and frustrated the hell out of) me about this game, was what happened after I blocked Red. I was 100% confident that all the veterans would know that the smart play on the odds would be to lynch Red, hands down, given the No Kill Night. Remember my gloating post at the start of that Day?

It seemed to me that the suspicion of me up to that point was pretty low-level (mostly you and Pizza dogging me). Why didn’t you seriously consider a Red lynch? Or did you? Was it just you thought I was scum and didn’t believe me? I was really surprised about that whole turn of events.

Fun note: Pizza’s pursuit and eventual lynch of septimus that Day had me convinced he was Scum bussing septimus to save Skeezix. (I thought Skeezix might have been the godfather or some other important Scum role). That generated my “I know when I’ve been outplayed” post, and led to me stupidly blocking him that Night. :smack:

By night three, when TexCat was narrowly lynched over you and turned up town, I was all but convinced that you were mafia. Everythign that happened after that has to be seen in that light. And my paranoid feelign that a scum you was going to think he could very well be dead the next day and make lemonade out of lemons by faking a no-kill and framing some poor townie seemign to ACTUALLY HAPPEN? That just sealed it.

It seemed like every time up to then that my suspicion was decreasing (or suspicion of others was growing), you did something that made it worse again. The manner in which you responded to me on day two, for instance. It felt like you were taking my statements out of context in order to paint me in the worst possible light for going after you: the aggressive-scum tactic. When I gave you slack on day three in favor of considering other candidates, your first few posts after your absence were entirely ‘I don’t like this case, don’t like this one, not sure about this one (TexCat, my own current suspicion!)’ it looked scummy again, seeemingly an over-commitment to calling people townie-looking coupled with an inabilit to commit to the one I thought was truly scummy (which looked bad for you regardless how TexCat flipped).

And then your claim, and how you handled it. I still don’t know why you were so adamant not to lessen your threat level to town, if scum.

And finally, after the good-despite-everythign result of day four, when I really looked at those comments of Septimus’ that looked to be preparing for the result of a Red-as-scum lynch and was on the verge of abandoning my suspicion of you altogether, you went and blocked Pizza! And that was pretty much just the final straw.

Sorry. :frowning:

So basically – there are a ton of things people under suspicion by me can do to get themselves out of that position, and they just didn’t appear. And then you hit several of my active scum tells to boot. Red, for all his scummitude, pretty much didn’t.

Although. I do have to say that I think I will never overlook an early-game ping or “buh?” moment from Red again. That’s twice I’ve done it recently and gotten burned both times.

Hilarious - that’s exactly what I felt you were doing to me. It’s amazing how defensive one can get in these games when falsely accused.

cry

We’ll do better next time. I am getting less defensive every game I play. It took something like 2 full Days of you poking at me before I finally went back at you.

(Although, I must say the one thing I was pleased about re: my play in this game was the block on Skeezix. I fuckin’ nailed that read. As peeker would say: woot the fucking woot!)

I should answer this. There were several reasons I didn’t want to give the Vote power to Lightfoot (or anyone else):

  1. It would not have proven my Towniness.
  2. It would have been a “waste” of a power I could only use twice. The power could have been extremely helpful to Town in an endgame or near endgame scenario, so I was inclined to save it if possible.
2b. I thought you were scum trying to get me to waste the power.
  3. Lightfoot in particular was barely around and had given no indication of good scum-finding ability. (Her early claim actually hurt Town quite a bit, in fact, so I was not inclined to rely on her).
  4. If I had to waste a use that early in the game, I was determined that it be used to lynch Skeezix. I knew he was scum, so that was absolutely the best play.

See? Wicked pro-town!

Okay, final answers while I’m unspoiled.
**

  1. Weedy
  2. Gnarlycharlie**
  3. Mental Guy

Weedy and gnarly, but if I’m wrong on either one, Mentalguy, as there’s still time to be wrong once.

Locking in. If I’m right on 2/3 then I’ve saved face, but still lost the game.
If I was right on choie or Diver that means I personally nailed 2/4 scums so I can consider that a good performance anyway.

Okay, I’m ready for the spoiler thread to see just how badly I’ve bungled this game.

Consider yourself spoiled, pizza. The PM awaits you.
