12/15/15 The final Republican Debate.

Of crud, I meant final for 2015. I left that off my title. Sorry about that.

I have such a headache already because of a stressful day at work, so I’m not sure I’ll be able to handle too much of this debate tonight. I’m seeing interviews with Palin and Bachman in the pre-show and I already want to throw something at the TV.

Wow. They’re still doing the JV debates. Hard to believe.

Is this the debate Trump said he’d have to be paid to participate in? I’m having trouble focusing on the Republican race - it’s like I’ve already lost a drinking game…

I can just see president Trump:

You want me to attend that meeting with Putin? Well, you’ll have to pay me extra!

I’m wondering when one of the establishment candidates will have the guts to say “Trump is a fucking nutcase, and if he is nominated I will do everything in my power to help the Democratic candidate win, because I care more about my country than about my party”. Thus putting the other candidates on the spot to agree or disagree. I’m not sure if it would be a net vote winner or loser in the GOP primaries, but if I’m an establishment GOP candidate, I’m pretty desperate right now for some way to stand out from the crowd, and it would at the very least make that candidate the center of attention for a few news cycles. Seems like one of them will have to take the plunge sooner or later.

The JV debate is pure gold![

MSNBC/NBC’s Chuck Todd thinks the only serious fireworks might be between Rubio and Cruz, who apparently have some different policy ideas, and who are jockeying for the “gaining on Trump” headlines. We’ll see.

I think Cruz is currently ahead of Trump in Iowa polls, isn’t he?

I think Chris Christie is on to something. Does anybody know where Obama and Hillary were when the LA schools were threatened?

Tonight’s theme is apparently “Fearmongering”. /rolleyes

538’s polling aggregate currently has him narrowly ahead. Of course, their aggregation method could be questioned by candidates who it makes look bad.

I’m confused-Is Obama running for President again? That seems to be who they think their opponent will be in November.

Alternately, they keep saying things that place Hillary Clinton in charge of our government, even tho she retired as SoS nearly 3 years ago now.

. . . Did Cruz seriously just invoke Alinsky?

. . . Rand, is isn’t it rather un-Libertarian to take a hard line on immigration?

And The San Bernadino shootings were Obamas fault because no one in his administration saw Tashfeen Malik’s Facebook page:smack::smack::smack:

Also, I haven’t watched the last few (OK, more than a few) debates … When did they start having some celebrity sing the national anthem like this was a baseball game?

And I don’t think Trump has a clue about how the internet works

Carson: “Waaaaaah! This is my first question!”

Blitzer: “Okay, who was right in that discussion between Cruz and Rubio?”

Carson: “You’ll have to ask them”

Seriously, Ben? You want the ball but want to punt as soon as it’s in your hands?

Cruz has a solution to the ISIS crisis: Pinpoint carpetbombing of ISIS militants.
Pinpoint carpetbombing??

And, without getting involved in the Syrian Civil War. It’s brilliant!

Everybody’s s three solutions to everything seem to be

  1. Lead. Lead with leadership. Something that Obama never thought of doing.

  2. Target the bad guys. Again, something Obama never considered

  3. Keep America safe. Why did no one think of that before?

And this Bush-Trump sparring is comedy gold.
