2010 NFL Draft Thread: April 22nd - 24th

If you’re referring to the boos in the room, that’s the Giants fans booing. But yeah, Philly fans are stupid.

Ahhh, that makes more sense. I was wondering why they all hate Nate Allen.

True 'dat.

Trade back, SenorBeef?

Here I was following this thread and then wham! all of a sudden I fell asleep right around the time you guys started talking about Philadelphia fans.

Don’t let something true get in the way of a chance to perpetuate some nonsense.

6 (38) Browns - T.J. Ward, S, OREGON!

The first Duck off the board, ahead of Dickson. I like the guy, but didn’t think he was a 2nd Round pick.

What the flying fuck?

Boy I would love it if Darryl Washington fell to the Packers.

Clausen to Buffalo?

Jim Brown is a monumental prick.

Interesting pick of Ward. That’s a really bad sign for the Bears who were hoping some of the top Safeties would last until round 3. With Ward off the board a lot of those mid-round Safeties that teams have been eying are going to start looking way juicier.

TRADE!

Bucs trade into #39.

I didn’t even come across his name in my research. He’s apparently a walking injury platform. He would’ve been there 2 rounds later (and we have 3 3rd round picks!). And it wasn’t even a big need, assuming that the Haden pick meant Sheldon Brown moved to safety.

No way Ward makes it to the 4th round. He’s been a hot commodity lately, the Bears almost certainly draft him in the 3rd if he’s there. I hope this doesn’t mean the Bears crap the bed by drafting Major Wright.

Just out of curiosity, is there something he did today or do you just mean in general?

As far as Hospital Ward, if there’s one team that probably shouldn’t mess with injury prone players…

7 (39) Buccaneers - Arrelious Benn, WR, Illinois

Oakland trades down, terms TBA.

On the pick: Nice, still no Golden Tate. Benn was consistently moving up on big boards, and he looks sharp on film.

What, 10 of the top 39 picks have been defensive backs? This is a really REALLY odd draft.

I actually am hoping for Taylor Mays. I know his technique is lacking, but I think if they get him in with the veterans that the Packers have in the defensive backfield Mays can learn from some of the best and with his physical skills he could be pretty exciting.

But I doubt he will still be avaialable,

Benn is way way way better than Little Man Tate.

That Goodell has some personality…

Not a fan of Misi at all. Way too light in the ass to be a NFL LB. He’s a guy who had maxed out at the Mid-Major college level.

Wow. I never dreamed my Bills could choose between Clausen and McCoy at 41.
