2010 NFL Draft Thread: April 22nd - 24th

TRADE!

Miami trades down, Chargers trade up. Is it Ryan Mathews?

Denver and Miami are fine at tackle, right? So why the trade? I guess there’s a small chance that someone was also trying to trade up to Denver for him, but… I can’t imagine he’s that hot a commodity.

McClain isn’t that slow for a middle linebacker.

12 (12) Chargers - Ryan Mathews, RB, Fresno State

Another reach, and another nervous team cutting in line to get him. Mathews is impressive, though. It’ll be fun when McClain meets Mathews in the hole like Willis and Peterson back in 2005.

That’s too high for him…I wonder what they gave up in that trade.
ETA: they gave up a lot. Too much.

I thought Clausen was supposed to be hot shit top ten. What happened to his value?

Ohh!! Eagles up!

Brady Quinn, I think.

Another TRADE!

Broncos trade down again, this time with the Eagles, who select…

Ahh! Stupid Broncos traded AGAIN??? McDaniels, you’re killing me man.

Cant imagine its anyone but Thomas.

Wow, McDaniels drafts like Shanahan. I wonder what the Broncos boards are like right now.

I’m not tracking. Why didn’t BQ syndrome affect Sanford?

13 (13) Eagles - Brandon Graham, DE, Michigan

The hell!?

Not that I think he’s a bust, but that’s a bizarre move. They want to hurt the QBs in their division, I guess.

good pick Eagles

Umm… ?

Clausen is an ND QB who played in the same system under the same coaches, so I think people are a little shy. I generally think people massively overstate generalizations like “[postion] from [school] all suck!” based on 1 or 2 guys, but in this case Clausen took over after him and perhaps benefited from the same easy schedule, coaching, etc.

I thought Graham was a player McD coveted. I would’ve liked him in Denver.

I’m terrified we’re gonna take Tebow at 24 now.

sigh

We better make something magical happen tomorrow…
