23 (23) Packers - Bryan Bulaga, OT, Iowa
I was in the middle of predicting this pick when the commish was walking up to the podium. He has short arms, but I had him listed at #7. Desperately needed. I scouted Bulaga specifically in Iowa’s bowl game, but came away not blown away, but he was still good. I was more impressed with Pat Angerer when Iowa was on defense.
The 49ers Twitter feed says Iupati and Davis became friends at the combine.

I’m a bit relieved. The idea of the Ravens going from Mason/Clayton to Boldin/Bryant was a little scary.

The reason I compare him with Owens is because he has the same childhood baggage that Owens has, but is already displaying the signs of that kind of behavior. He’s also as good as T.O. was in his prime. Scary for all parties.

Never though that he would go there. The wild maneuvering makes sense (I guess), all of a sudden.
I’m late to the party. I see the Packers got Bulaga. If he was there for them to pick, I woulda bet dollars to donuts that the Pack would take him.
Aside: I can’t be the only one who has noticed that the Packers have almost exclusively, selected white O lineman. It’s very disconcerting to me that it just seemed to happen their entire O Line and backups are white.
I’m very happy with the pick. Bulaga is somewhat limited, but he’s got the potential to be an anchor on the O Line for a long time.
Boo Tebow! Did the Broncos really need a QB this draft? And don’t get me started on my other problems with Tebow.

I’d be happy with the Browns moved from #38 up to now to taken Clausen … for a bottom of the first pick I’m willing to roll the dice on a QB.

Yeah, it was a position of need for Carson Palmer and the passing offense’s sake, but they spent a 3rd rounder on the most prolific pass catcher at the collegiate level ever in Chase Coffman last season and didn’t play him at all because apparently the Bengals value blocking over TD’s from their TE position, despite a dearth (and death) at the WR position last season.
