You mean a team that squoze by Wazzu with just 42 seconds left? That team? Well, good luck with USC, I think they will be needing it.
No argument there.

Yikes, the QB isn’t the only problem for the Ducks. They gave up over 500 yards passing to WSU in their second home loss.
Geez, TCU struggled through most of the game, it looked like KSU might actually put them away. What a disappointment for the fans in Manhattan.
Both TCU and Oklahoma State were lucky to get away without a loss tonight.
I don’t even know where to start with this weekend. Except for the drinkin’…
:smack:
So many loses snatched from the jaws of victory. So much Glory Unsung. And some plain Old Bullshit Grand-dad! (talkin’ 'bout Thursday night)
I think the glory years are officially over. When you lose to a team that lost to Portland State, even the Emerald Nuts Bowl looks like a stretch.
The Thing Fish Ratings – Week 6
After IMO an absolutely horrid week of college football, we have a new face at the top, but it still belongs to the Conference of Champions.
hello: BSU, Sparty, Baylor
goodbye: Toledo, Memphis, Oklaho-hang your heads in shame-ma
Michigan State will beat Ohio State by less than a touchdown, but would also beat William and Mary (or maybe just Mary) by less than a touchdown. Great comic relief at the end of last night’s game when the Rutgers QB spiked the ball on fourth down.
AAAArrrrghhh!!
Oddly, I feel slightly better about the Bears after last night’s debacle than I did before (plus, seeing USC and Oregon burst into flames). Despite Goff’s worst game since Pop Warner, despite our best WR having 2 balls clank off his hands…we had a chance to beat #5. I don’t see anybody on our remaining schedule that we can’t beat (the Big Game against Stanford could be for All The Marbles, ie, the Pac-12 North).
Weird news:
Does anyone see any chance of Sarkisian returning after his treatment is over? Especially after he said he’d quit drinking after the infamous pep rally video?
And how long can Pat Haden stay as AD? There are reports flying around Sarkisian was drunk during a game a few weeks ago, and that he passed out during a team flight last year. If either’s true, Haden’s credibility is totally shot.
It’s the curse of the Evergreen State. It’s just so beautiful here that leaving it drives people to drink.
Sarkasian left UW in 2013, and a year later he’s drunk on his ass on the team plane. Mike Price left WSU to become Alabama’s head coach several years ago, but got fired for drinking and whoring before his first game there.
As much as I loathe USC I hate to see anybody sink this low. I hope Sark gets it together.
USC is certainly unique in that they hire despicable people to be their football coach. Pete Carroll, Lane Kiffin, and Sarkisian. They deserved the sanctions they got for the Reggie Bush fiasco.
I think Sark has coached his last game at USC, but I also think they’re doing the right thing by “suspending” him for now. Haden doesn’t want to be seen as insensitive for firing someone with a disease. The talking points are all about getting Sark well.
USC goes to Notre Dame this weekend, and the Trojans will have had 4 different head coaches in their last 4 games against the Irish. (Kiffin, Orgeron, Sark, Helton)
Why did they not just hire Orgeron on a permanent basis? The team was doing fine with him, IIRC.
Orgeron was just soooo bad at Ole Miss I don’t think anyone really wanted him as head coach at USC. They thought Sark would be a better fit even though it was only so-so at Washington.
After jumping out to a 2 game lead in the division, Florida QB is suspended for Performance Enhancing Drugs. The SEC East is such a mess this year… every year come to think of it!
Well this lasted a whole day:
The interesting question now is how many millions of dollars he will get.
I do hate USC, but I almost feel bad for Pat Haden. Sark put him in a really bad spot. I think they should have kept him inactive for as long as possible before firing him, but this was inevitable.
