Could you elaborate on what you mean by “these people”? Yeah, I understand the strength of schedule stuff and would agree they didn’t deserve to be in the top 5 or 6 but it’s hard to deny Briles has turned around a pretty suckass program in a big way.
And beating OSU with their third string QB in Stillwater is impressive, don’t you think?

Got it. But have a little sympathy - we’ve been starved for a decent, much less really good football program, for decades. Some fans are more blind to reality than others. I suspect proximity to Texas is part of the problem.

Great win for my Spartans yesterday. Beating OSU and U-M on the road makes for a sweet season come what may later. No Cook? No problem! O’Connor definitely outplayed Terry and probably earned the starting job next year and perhaps the rest of this year. That being said, what the hell what Urban Meyer thinking? Sure, the weather sucked but- how can you not try some passes downfield? It sure seemed like OSU was playing not to lose. Both of their scores came off turnovers so they didn’t have a sustained drive all day. Now if you’re an NFL coach and you’re looking at Exekiel Elliot, are you going to say “now here’s a guy who handles adversity well and will be a positive influence in my locker room?” I rather doubt it.
