I have two packets of Artisan Tea from The Skirted Soldier - the Samoa Stockpile and the Commander. I have two lovely new dishtowels celebrating the wonders of Pennsylvania. I have a package of boilo a traditional hot toddy mix - and I have hocow’s secret family recipe to make REAL boilo (the second ingredient is a quart of moonshine) I swear upon my heart’s blood not to tell any of the others. I also have a real glass glass for the boilo that says on one side Champion of the Pennsylvania Coal Region and on the other side got boilo?.
I got the coolest collection of goodies from purplehorseshoe! Three pairs of dangly earrings in turquoise, red, and green/ivory-- just the kind I like, simple drops. She made these! OMG! Plus a beautiful necklace in sort of sea colors-- perfect. Did you also make the darling little red & green votive candles (Mama Bear and Baby Bear size)? They smell so good! And a fabulous cookbook from an organization called Associa, which manages community associations-- who knew? It’s full of the employees’ favorite recipes (apparently **PHS **had a recipe in an earlier edition — hmmm, I want that recipe).
I’ll definitely wear the red earrings tomorrow when our choir sings. And I will spend many happy hours perusing the cookbook while the candles smell up the room with Christmassy scents.
Thank you so much. And thank you for organizing this on the spur of the moment.
Yay! Glad you like it. Boilo is as local as it gets around here. Go one or two counties either direction and no one knows what it is. We enjoyed some last night. It will put some hair on your chest and cure your ails. Merry Christmas!!

I received a package today! I’m so excited, but I’m waiting to enjoy it until I have mailed mine out which should be Monday. I’m sorry I’m running late…my excuse is that I work retail and it’s the holidays.
I got awesome shark and stingray fossils, and a megalodon tooth (totally counts as dinosaur!), a manatee magnet (love the sea cows - they are my spirit animals ), and straight from Florida fresh tangerines and oranges! The card also has a Santa relaxing by the beach in a hammock. Great gifting!!! Thank you so much @Reepicheep!!
So much fun, thanks @Purplehorseshoe for organizing it as well!

OK, after a busy weekend and a crappy day at work I FINALLY got the package out the door. Now I just have to sweat it getting to its destination intact…as will my recipient! HEEHEE HEE!
Yay! So glad you like it all! If you couldn’t tell, the squiggly cookie cutter is a tornado, since you’re in Kansas. The soap and bath bomb are from a local guy. I’m pretty sure he does mail order; his email is on there somewhere. Yes, I was surprised that each of us was sending to the other. Is it always one-to-one matching?
Hopefully your package will be here tomorrow. I’ll heed what you said about opening it!
I don’t think it has been one-to-one in the past, but it looks like **purplehorseshoe **did it that way this year. 'Cause she and I got each other, too. Is that correct PHS? A good system. And so is the other way. In fact, any system that winds up with prezzies is a good system.
I got the package today. Triangular: now I’m really curious! But, Baker, would you mind if I waited until Christmas morning to open it? See, Mr. Rilch’s Big Gift to me this year is a remodeled kitchen, which is shaping up to be awesome, but means that I won’t have many things physically wrapped up. So I’m hanging on to what other people give me, to have something to open on the day. I’ll post back when I do open it!
while celebrating beethoven’s birthday yest., i was informed that i had a package.
indeed santa had landed (there by giving me sleigh access). i opened the box to the delight of the fur faces. the box contained:
cat colouring book with colour pencils
eye and foot mask

a pen that looks to me like an elephant trunk
3 hand crèmes from crabtree and evelyn; how on earth did you know nantucket briar was my favourite!?!
puffer peppermints
i am using the st nicholas day loophole and will start colouring on the 19th!
thank you very, very much, bludgeonmesoftly! i always trust the sdmb secret santa!
Ok…so…the last little thing I wanted to include with my gift finally arrived today, everything is wrapped and ready to go out tomorrow. Should still make it there before Christmas!
To celebrate finally getting with the program, I opened my gift from Sir T-Cups.
As I type this I am having a nice cup of Pomegranate tea from the Disney’s Wonderland Mad Hatter Tea collection in a really fun Jack Skellington mug. What could be better than Disney Tea?
I also received…
A RunDisney cooling towel…perfect for hot Sacramento summers. I am hoping to be healthy enough to start running again by spring, so this will definitely come in handy.
A Xavier University pizza cutter…will be putting that to the test soon!
A Universal Orlando AP button…going on my tote bag that has like 25 buttons on it already!
