24: Season 4: Episode 21 (3:00am - 4:00am) - Unboxed Spoilers!!

You just noticed this now? Frankly, I look forward to this kind of stuff at this point. None of the silliness in this episode is any more far fetched than half a dozen other plot contrivences in any random episode.

But all it takes is one scene where Jack barges into the O.R., like last week, and holds a gun to the doctor’s head and it makes watching worthwhile. Or, the final scene a few weeks ago when the Chloe-nator jumped into action!

I was thinking of Washington as a possible target, but given that Marwan’s guy was talking about maximizing casualties, I would think a more likely target (for heaviest casualties, at least) would be something like New York City.

If they wanted to maximize political casualties, it would head for Washington, but that might have the unplanned result of the American populace praising Marwan for ridding it of loads of politicians in one fell swoop.

This is 24, so it’s got to be headed to L.A.

For those who like to read other people skewering 24, I re-present Dave Barry’s weblog.

We seem to be on the same page as Barry, but it still is an amusing read.

Why the heck is Chloe tasked with assembling strike teams anyway? Shouldn’t a tactical officer be in charge of that role?

Or is Fox just giving Chloe more air time because they know that a lot of computer geeks will be hot for Mary-Lynn Rajskub?

You called? :stuck_out_tongue:

The previews lead to an interesting thought:

Jack Bauer: “Audrey, I wonder if we still have a chance after killing your husband and torturing your brother?”

If the camera filming the missle was facing north then the missle is headed east, if it was facing south then the missle is headed west. It’s a trick that was used in East German propaganda.

The bad guys have a * missile *? Where’d they pick that up, a cracker jack box? To hell with killing Marwan – they should put him in charge of the Defense Department’s procurement office AND the CIA. In one day, he’s been able to lay his hands on the nuclear plant remote control, hordes of trained technicians, killers and assassins, a Stealth fighter, a chunk of the nuclear football, a nuke, and a totally gratuitous high bandwidth webcam so that he can watch in on his laptop in an abandoned warehouse that apparently has been fixed up with broadband or DSL. And now we find out he apparently had a medium range missile and launcher waiting around in America’s Heartland just in case an increasingly unlikely cascade of plans came to fruition and he got his hands on a nuke.

After all, a missile is just the kind of thing that’s easy to acquire – not like, say, driving a van into a big city or flying over it with a small plane.

Plynck, Jack doesn’t need Audrey anymore, he’s got Chloe in a wild three-way with Edgar.

I want to pluck out my eyes just for typing that…

well, after all, this IS America, missles are commonly available in the Sporting Goods section of your local Wal-Mart

(however, the QUALITY and reliability of a wally-world missile is suspect…)

You are not alone.

My bolding. What more proof do we need that the missle was Made in China?

I’ll put a melon baller in the mail for you.

I want to see Jack torture the hell out of Marwan. Marwan has been smug for far too long. I wish to hear him scream like a schoolgirl.

If I were Jack, I’f cut down the handles of a pair of bolt cutters to fit in my hip pocket.
Just the things for fingers and toes on the spur of the moment.
Three joints on ten fingers and toes is thirty chances for Marwan to talk. I guess someone with Jack’s skill can probably cut between joints. It’s not like you’d have to do it cleanly or anything.

Because she’s the Chloeinator! And she single-handedly turned a baddie into major swiss cheese just a few hours ago.

I want to chop off your hands for typing that.
Somebody get me a hacksaw…

Hey, I got these sawed off bolt cutters. See, I screwed a melon ball scoop to one end.

Go to the back of the class! Or would you rather have Jack teach you how to do arithmetic correctly!!

 Context, please.
