That’s a shame, as it would be too much like a repeat of season 2.
I’d actually been watching with that theory for quite a while now.
Because DeadTrainGuy didn’t just hop an Air Force jet or something, I figured he wasn’t government, or was perhaps Black Ops. Something unofficial.
Perhaps Heller did something naughty when he was a private citizen that both he and the President were involved in? Why is preventing the TRAIL the big deal? They’re not gonna kill him until after the trial, and even if it’s a really short trial, they really only needed a ten minute trial for the Marines to hit the place in time.
Nah…it’s what’s going to surface at the trial that the SecDef and President are afraid of.
As for Chloe, I never hated her as much as everyone else, and I never saw her as being Jar Jar’s level. Strangely, I too am beginning to find her attractive.
Sarah though…
While she’s attractive, she’s obviously a sub-par replacement for Reiko Aylesworth, quite possibly the most attractive woman to hit 24land ever.
-Joe
Actually, the President didn’t seem obsessed about preventing the trial…it was his chief of staff who kept pushing it. Maybe HE is the secret bad guy.
I’m confused. That’s his chief of staff? I guess that’s all that makes sense…sort of.
My memory for faces is usually pretty good, and isn’t the guy we’re referring to either the same or remarkably* similar to Palmer’s true-blue Secret Service guy whose name may or may not be Aaron?
I did think it odd the way he was giving advice, but he seemed to be the closest thing to a confidante that Palmer had, and I thought maybe he was just performing the same role in this administration as well…
-Joe
The chief of staff might look like him, but he’s definitely not Aaron, the secret service guy. I’m 99% sure I would have recognized him if it was. I just watched all of season 3 about a week before season 4 started.
Well, thanks to Tivo, I know what the terrorists’ REAL plot is:
somehow, they are going to melt down every nuclear power plant in the US. I shit you not.
I probably hate to ask…
You know that from the preview, or from superclever rewatching of something?
-Joe
I assume that his TiVO has already loaded in Monday’s programs to tape and a synopsis of the program is included.
Actually, my thoery is that his TiVO has developed AI. Using it’s perfectly created algorithms, it has made a 99% chance scenario based on obervations of every TV show ever. It won’t be logn before his TiVO is world rule and we have to worship it or feel it’s rath.
Yep. I have 24 on my Season Pass, and I simply asked it to find all episodes.
So, I’m Edgar and someone starts to try to blackmail me. She insists that I go to the boss and say X.
I would go to the boss and say, “She keeps telling me that if I don’t get her into Y that she’ll make up a story about me helping Chloe. I have no idea what she’s talking about, but she’s trying to get clearance.”
Best case? She’s fired. Worst case? The boss doesn’t believe me but would keep an eye on her.
I don’t think he could pull it off without shaking. She’d know he was lying.
She would know he was upset. Being upset when someone is attempting to frame you is understandable.
Maybe so. I kkep thinking Alberta Watson played Madelyn of Section One, who didn’t fire you or have you arrested, but canceled.
And she was so competent, both as a field agent (remember when she shot the unruly guy trying to escape from the virus-infected hotel? And when she escaped after being captured toward the end of season 3?) and at CTU headquarters. I really liked Reiko and the Michelle Dessler character, and it’s a shame she isn’t back this season. Plus, she’s one of Jack’s only co-workers that hasn’t been killed, fired, arrested, disgraced, or turned traitor.
Also, where’s Agent Baker (played by Daniel Dae Kim)? The guy had a tiny part, but he may be the only other CTU agent who appeared (and survived!) all three seasons. I always thought of him as the “Wedge” of the 24 universe for just that reason!
Sorry, that was VERY geeky.
(shakes head)
Sigh.
That’s what I meant when I said “preview”.
-Joe, unclear
He’s stuck on the “Lost” island, and no longer speaks English. And he changed his name to Jin.
I liked Agent Baker, too. He was cool.
Plus this is expecting a rational and logical response from Evil Boss Lady. Ain’t happening. Now if Edgar came out of left field and instead said something like “TempBitch is secretly plotting to use the CTU network to snipe every auction on EBay and I saw her give your daughter some scissors…” She would be hanging on his every word. The truth is nothing to this flake.
There were some pretty good lines about it on yesterday’s Best Week Ever.
“24 is like Sesame Street for racial profiling. ‘An Arab is a person in your neighborhood…who blows things up.’”
I for one would love to see some more of the former cast members of La-Femme Nikita on 24. Like Nikita hersellf and Kim wrestling together
