24: Season 5: Episode 10 (4:00pm - 5:00pm)

I can think of at least two other possibilities:
(1) Lynn will go quasi-rogue, and need to retrieve the keycard. He might end up saving the day. He’s certainly not a DUMB guy, just stubborn and paranoid
(2) The keycard will vanish into the limbo of lost plot threads, where it will hang out with the entire end of season 2

Or a hybrid - both Lynn and the keycard will go into the cafeteria from “The Game” where forgotten plot threads go do die…

-Joe

I think Lynn is too by-the-boards to even consider the idea of going rogue (unless he’s just another mole), but I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he’s brought back in some capacity near the end to help save the day.

And I only cringe at your second suggestion because it is within the realm of possibilities in the 24 universe.

Lynn is the martinet he is because he was beaten up at school for “having a girl’s name”.
He views the keycard as having the same importance as Lunch Money. It is his horrible, horrible secret that because of his name, he was too sissy to keep his precious keycard. It has driven him insane.

…and with whatever Jack said to Nina. That’s the one that still bugs me, because I bet whatever he said, it was really fucking cool.

I see neither possibility being that possible.

1). This is 24. Only Jack is allowed to go Rouge without becoming a villian.
2.) Not to mention the fate of President Talks to Bunnies, the fate of Ensign Ro from Season 2, the Fate of Beeh-rooz from season 4, not to mention that whole subplot about the evil defense contractor from season 4.

Don’t forget that handshake-transmitted infection from Season Two.

Possibilities:

“I’m Jack Bauer, BITCH!”

“I faked every orgasm”

“I had AIDS”

I’m recording Day 2 on A&E.
We don’t find out?
We don’t find out?

You read my mind… I almost posted that earlier.

Nope. And they pass up the golden oppurtunity next season.

It seems to me that he’d be especially paranoid on this day because he is apparently deeply involved in the whole nerve gas/terrorist thingie.

If I were involved in a plot to kill millions of my countrymen, all I’m saying is that on that one day, I’d stick to decaf.

I’m thinking that the next thing that’s going to happen to Lynn is that he’s going to be asked to surrender his keycard. Oops. Don’t have it. Who does? Some scumbag who’s dating my sister. Does that get me in trouble?

Then Chloe will use one of her magical database lookups to instantly find out who the boyfriend is, and it’ll turn out he is connected in some way. So Lynn suddenly find himself a field agent, having to go and convince his sister that her boyfriend is a bad dude and help him set up some sort of sting to find the people he’s connected to.

Then Lynn will die a horrible death. Jack will probably be forced to shoot him in the back of the head or something.

All in all, I’m enjoying this season much more than season 4 so far.

Season…4…??? Sorry, I have no recollection of such a season.

Yeah. So am I, now that I’m convinced it’s not going to turn into a replay of season 4.

Jack needs to do more torturing though.

Exactly. Any other male CTU agent who wears makeup (besides Jack) is definitely working for the terrorists…

I’m actually completely on board with this, except I think it would be more of a rite of passage for Black Bauer to take Lynn out.

Jack: “Go on, Curtis. You’ve earned this one.”
Curtis: <giggles like a school girl>
