I was thinking he would just call for medical help, and then leave him there to be found or something. However, I was pretty sure that he was telling the truth about not killing him at first – until he admitted to killing Palmer. Then all bets were off.
In Little Rock, too.
Good gad, what a health plan!
So, total time elapsed between actual assassination of Palmer and the identification of the bullet by CTU in a phone conversation with the President: approximately 4 minutes. Those guys do work fast.
No. In fact it would have been wrong *not * to have noticed that.
They killed Captain Sisko! Those bastards! And Michelle?
The women are gorgeous across the board this season. Pre-explosion Michelle in the tank top. : drool :
I liked “Morning Chloe”…
“Get out of my bed.”
“I had a good time last night, too…”
Say what?
He had the wrong approach.
Should have bought her a “talk nerdy to me” T-Shirt.
Since f**king Comcast’s DVR box cannot understand that, above all else, “Record All First Run Episodes” means especially all first-run 24 episodes, we missed out on the first hour.
Can someone please post a synopsis of the action up to 8am? Please pretty please?
Thanks!
Chloe shot someone.
Good. We’re off to a great start.
I’ve been saying that since last season.
It was a good opening, but jeez, Producers of 24, did you have to off Michelle like that? I said all last season that she was the only not-crazy-or-evil woman on the show, and now she’s toast. [That said, I was sorry to lose her and Palmer, but the season is off to a promising start. Jack’s already killed three people, one in cold blood, and knocked out what, three, four others? Plus he’s already given his first “trust me” speech.]
And it’s exactly what you’d expect her to be like the morning after, isn’t it? Classic scene.
On the downside, we seem to have another annoying kid, another maybe-crazy First Lady, and even worse, a ‘take your medication’ thing that made me think of Driscoll’s kid. But like I said, it’s a good start. I’m trying to get one of my brothers into this show, and I’m proud to say he knew right away that the Palmer phone call had been altered. (“It’s not exactly a matter of national security?” Come on.)
And another thing… is Pres. Keeler supposed to be dead now? I don’t recall anything conclusive on this. Last season, Logan (only the Vice Pres.) took over as Prez when Air Force One was shot down – but the last I recall, Keeler was ALIVE, but obviously not in a state fit for calling the shots. You know, he was a little busy being rushed to the hospital and such. But the last I heard, he was alive. So… Did Logan just not feel like relinquishing power? Did Keeler die in surgery? Are they going to tell us? Or are they going to leave this hanging over our heads as an unknown, like with Ensign Ro (Lynn Kresge) at the end of season 2?
Dammit…
Oh, and if the guest appearance listings at IMDB (in advance) are accurate and to be believed…
Samwise Gamgee will be guest starring soon – I hear as a CTU agent (Sean Astin). Also, the listings claim that Kim will show up in episode 7. I didn’t see a guest listing for a cougar, but one never knows, do one…?
Absolutely. And it’s probably good that they didn’t give us the “night before” scene. Although I can imagine it…
“No no, stop… stop! You’re not doing it right. Oh forget it, I’ll do it myself.”
I want one of those.
Since the football game ran 10 minutes long, our TiVo missed the last 10 minutes. We lost everything after Logan wouldn’t listen to Novick about stopping the summit. Then it went to commercial and that’s all we got. Could somebody recap?
I assumed so. We’ll see if they deal with it later. The 24 America would be so far along the path to fascism at this point.
: Does a quick internet search. :
Well I’ll be. I thought that President Palmer was played by the same guy who played Captain Sisko on Deep Space 9. Whoops. :d (foot in mouth smilie).
Yeah, Jack arrived with Derek and whats-her-name at the airport to find out who this Chevensky character was. He left them in the car and ran in. Then it showed a truck full of terrorist types getting their guns ready.
Meanwhile, the russian helicoptor arrived safely and the president and his wife were greeted there.
Cut back to the airport and a dark UPS looking truck pulls up to the airport in front of mom and son. A bunch of dudes (obviously the terrorists) jump out and run in. Derek says that it looks suspicious and that he has to warn Jack, so he runs in. His mom tries to get out after him, but a guard stops her because she can’t leave her car in the middle of the road.
Jack finds Chevensky in a back hallway and gives him the “you’re gonna tell me what I wanna hear, it’s just a matter of how much you want it to hurt” speech. The terrorists in the main terminal open fire and kill the security guards in the area. Main terrorist guy hits a button and the UPS truck outside explodes, totally freaking out Mom, but once again she is held back by a policeman from running in.
Jack sees through a door window that all hell is breaking loose and looks back to find Chevensky taking a bite of a cyanide pill - he dies without saying anything. The terrorists make everyone - Derek included - hit the deck. He says “None of you will be hurt if your president follows our demands.”
The end.
Thanks! We weren’t going to be able to sleep until we found out what happened.
Line of the night: “You’re only conscious because I don’t want to carry you.” Hee!
Well, anything I could say has been said. Hi everyone! Long time no see!
Tony did commit treason for her, and she left him… that’s pretty bad.
She left him because he was an angry, alcoholic jerk. That didn’t seem evil or crazy to me.
