24: Season 5: Episodes 1-2 (7:00am - 9:00am) Season Premiere!

Well, there’s always Johnson, the guy with the briefcase full of pain.

The van wasn’t surrounded. They had the building surrounded, and a bunch of cops in the basement, but they didn’t know that Jack was in the van. They just knew that he was somewhere in the basement.

Oh, don’t be silly. It was a rescue helicopter and Jack pulled the smoke bombs from a kit in the copter. That’s obviously why he picked that helicopter, rather than all the others sitting around the oil fields – and didn’t drive his smoke-bombless truck into town.

Anyhow, does anyone else remember the guy who shot Palmer from China Beach? Yes, I’m old.

I re-watched them today. I think somebody already mentioned the body count of the first hour being 6 (Palmer, Michelle, and the 4 baddies at the abandoned refinery).

I think the body count on the 2nd hour (at least “for sure body count”) is just 3. Chevinsky (suicide) and two security guards at the airport, who were definitely shot in the airport takeover. I suppose there could have been some others, but I didn’t see any explicitly (same with the bomb in the truck). Anybody notice an explicit one other than these?

Oh, and the new thread for tonight’s episodes is up.

No, but I remember both characters he played on Buffy.

Why would a rescue helicopter crew need screening smoke grenades?

They came from the travelling bag that Jack kept hidden in the wall behind the tallboy at his ol’ lady’s place for just such an emergency.

To mark things so that they may be seen from the air.

Well, that makes sense. :smack:

Didn’t Bill and Audrey discuss that Palmer, Tony, Michelle, and Chloe had all “talked” on the day that Jack had died. Maybe someone else got those phone records and pieced it together? Quite a leap though…

Don’t you think they missed a good opportunity, a la Lost, to create a fake 24 web site? Lost has Hansofoundation.org, oceanic-air.com, and others that ABC uses to build hype for the show. This situation just begged for a real IP address and Fox-owned web site.

They’ve done that before.

Don’t forget “I am Oscar, dot com” www.iamoscar.com from Arrested Development (site no longer seems to work).
