2nd Annual Summer Book Exchange

One of you please post the name and author of the book. It sounds like something I need to read!

*or as the case may be, use to bring that swaying pile of bokks to the ground  *

Look in your PM box!

Thank you SO much! Not that I needed another series, but well you know, we’re all readers here…

I sent 8.3 lbs of books out today. I don’t actually remember what all I put in the box. We’ll say it’s an eclectic collection.

I sent it book/media rate, so it may be slow arriving. Sorry.

FTR none of Boris Starling’s books are in a series.

As he has now changed his name to Daniel Blake and his books take place in America, NOW it’s a series. But under his real name, they’re all independent of each other

Yosh, I figured that out when I hopped over to Goodreads to check him out. Either way, I really didn’t need a new series or series of books from the same author :smack:

Fortunately I shouldn’t have too much trouble blasting through Barry Eisler’s John Rain books since there are only 7 or 8 of them!

The book arrived today, so I will get it off in the mail on my way back to work today. I’ll PM you when to expect it.

I received it today! Thank you so much. I just recently started reading Terry Pratchett, and the one you sent I haven’t read. The other three sound like they’re right in my wheel house.
Again Thank you!

JoseB, I got paid today so I’m going to go get your book and send it off to you! I understand international shipping can take up to two weeks, but it’s on its way, I promise!

Which Pratchett? I Love the man dearly!

Whoop whoop! SO glad. Wanted to be sure I sent a selection just in case one or two were duds. You’re very welcome!

Me too! Picunurse, did I send Equal Rites? I debated as to which one I would send you, and I think I went with Witches.

Thank you. It is a good book. That was me. Enjoy them! I sent you some fun and really engrossing historical novels as well as that one.

Granny Weatherwax! <3 <3 And omg, Nanny Ogg! I love her but I am so glad I’m not married to one of her sons!

That’s the one. Another doper gave me a Kindle with two disc world books already on it. I think I also have another that was given me long ago called Small Gods, could that be right?

I’ve just renewed my interest in science fiction/fantasy.
Actually, I’ll read anything, given half a chance.

Small Gods was not one of his best, in my opinion, and I’m willing to say that part of the reason I don’t like it much is the subject matter.

Equal Rites is great!

Hurrah! 3 books came for me from Pai325! I love them all, thanks. I got Gulp by Mary Roach, To Say Nothing of the Dog by Connie Willis, and Hot Lights, Cold Steel: Life, Death and Sleepless Nights in a Surgeon’s First Years by Michael J. Collins. Perfect choices - I started the Connie Willis already!

I’m happy you like them! Enjoy!

The ones on the Kindle were Snuff and When I’m Old I Shall Wear Midnight. I liked both of those a lot.

Two of my favorites, I admit. I love the way Tiffany is growing up and I hope he can write some more about her.
