6 January 2021; A Day worth a Thread

It’s the full bore Captain Queeg meltdown. Epic.

Got CSpan on, the Senate is moving over to the House side for the Joint Session to begin. And the next act of our play is ready for the curtain to raise…

Crowd getting cold and bored while Don goes through the cheating state by state in laborious detail. Maybe they were hoping that he’d lead the charge on the capitol.

It’s a belated Festivus Miracle!

Not a chance.

See comment immediately above.

Pence will not try to block electors. Link goes to tweet with letter signed by Pence.

VP Pence is on. Slapped down a Virginia Rep on a “Point of Order” and read the instructions ‘by the book’ as far as I could tell. Looks like he is going to go by the book.

Switching to C-Span now where VP Dense is about to begin the count and piss someone off.

Pence just sign his political (and potential actual) death warrant by shutting down that douche from Virginia who insisted on bringing up a point of order (which isn’t allowed) in the electoral count session. Trump is going to have an aneurysm.

There is a truck with a big megaphone back behind the crowd blaring the following message: “After you are done here, please report to the nearest de-programming office, located at your local public library, where you will find helpful information on how the United States government actually works in reality.”

And Arizona is up…

Still nice and weaselly, by implying that there’s issues with the election and that congress should deal with it.

And there goes Cruz.

And the first objection is made. And the long dance begins…

This will be a long and interesting afternoon.

Which is a perfect excuse for Pence to call a halt.

Let the time wasting begin!

Wait, we are paying these people to do this? SMH

Will they do this “withdraw and debate” for every state which they want to contest? Or will this one debate cover everything?

Long, yes. Interesting, not so much.

Unless you would consider getting a root canal without painkillers to be “interesting.”

Each and every one.

Could go on for a while.
